I would just like to say a big thank you to the staff at Harlow Recycling Centre for their help and kindness, when I visited there earlier today. At 76, it meant so much to me to be helped with my refuse and not have to struggle up the steps to dispose of it. Many thanks again! ?

Used to be the best tip on the planet until they brought in the booking system! Ridiculous. I don't remember ever having to queue before this was brought in during the countless visits I made. But today I tried to make a booking to help someone with learning disabilities who can't use computers but the system was down and then there was no availability for when I was free to take it. Well done Harlow Council for a great bit of bureaucracy ensuring that the poor stay poor!

Staff, happy,helpful and so much nicer.
The other lot never smiled, or spoke unless I made them.
What a difference it makes .well done the place is tidier,not easy I can imaging.

There is no organisation at the site. The staff are very good at pointing but that's about it. I've had two punchers in two visits because they don't bother to sweep the road, which is a surprise as they are all leaning on their brooms watching you unload. Last but not least. Why is the site only open 9-5pm. By modern standards this is very very poor. To get turned away today because I hadn't booked was a joke when there was only two cars there as everyone that had booked failed to turn up.

The recycle centre is well thought out. Drivers have enough space to park, offload rubbish and leave without having to wait. Staff are very helpful giving advise as to where certain items go. Brilliant ?. Well done Essex County Council....

Very efficient, extremely friendly workforce and helpful. If I had enough money I would tip them all. Just an update you now have to book your van in at least 48 hours before you can unload. See their website.
