Just wanting to give a massive shout out to the two hardworking young lads, Stuart and Liam, for being ever so helpful and courteous, by helping me to move bags upon bags of soil/clay/rubble ( 4 trips in total, today) out of my car since I could not physically lift heavy stuff due to heart failure. All I did was ask very politely and they did it willingly and came over to me each time. I gave them a box of chocs each, to show my appreciation - thanks once again!

The staff are great.

My only contention, is that if you see something that has been thrown away, you cannot take it and upcycle it, it has to be crushed, destroyed and possibly recycled. I was told that if you remove something it's considered theft. Even if it's going into landfill.

Lazy people work there . I asked where I can put a dish washer not them me.. they started uming and aring and didn’t even wanna say where to put it. I ended up coming out with it and told them I wouldn’t want to bother them…. Absolutely useless . Hate using a tip now.. they think there gods and bone idle.. I’d rather pay someone to pick things up than use a tip now.

Great experience whilst conducting work in my garden. I had lots of earth and clay to dispose of. The young gentleman I dealt with in the first few visits was informative, directed me to the locations of each skip for the necessary waste and assisted with the unloading. Whilst providing some conversation to pass the time.

Great experience (as far as visiting the tip goes)… ended up here after being very unimpressed with the service at the waste recycling centre near Tindale.
The lads here were brilliant - helpful, informative, recognised a decent car and most importantly… not John Jobsworth…

Important services like this don't get enough recognition. Refuse centres are much of a muchness but what sets them apart are the staff. The helpful and gregarious nature of the folks who work here is brilliant. Nothing but positive things to say about this site. Keep up the great service!
