This is our favourite recycling centre. Every time we visit everyone is so helpful and friendly. We have used this site a lot during the last 4 years and we had a great experience every time. Thank you so much everyone at Hempton Recycling Centre for your positive attitude (big shout out to Gary especially!), your knowledge and a helpful hand. M&J

It was “ paint amnesty “ day ( Saturday 19 th October) and the queues of traffic were relentless , at least an hour to actually dump the paint . It was raining but the lady staff member ( directing motorists to the end of the queue) was upbeat and cheerful. And when I finally got to the “ dump site “ the staff had it running like a Swiss watch , all credit to this team . How they kept so cheerful ,focused and motivated under such miserable circumstances I’ll never know .

If all the staff were as helpful as Rick and Jonathan I would give 5 stars. They are always cheerful and help me unload heavier items.

WELL WHAT CAN I SAY, about this place the tip, yes a tip, first time to that place 3 staff stood towards the bottom of the yard totally ignored me an old man looking for where to put the items I had in my car not many signs telling us mear old people where to our rubbish at this tip 2 men started waking towards me but then just disappeared up some steps the other watched me trying to find where to put this large box of things I had eventually he came Towards me looked in the box and said it goes in that bin behind you ok the microwave in that bin over in the corner ? Not pick it up and take it for me so I had to carry it up the yard to the xshed in the corner, No help whatsoever it show we might be old age pensioners but them young staff can't help us poor old people will, not go back to this tip It's why FLY TIPPING IS SO PROLIFIC

Helpful, informative and efficient.

I had a good experience dropping off a big van load of different things, and came away only with a bottle of white spirit and a can of paint, which I was told how to dispose of.

Very happy with the help I received. Recommended.
