Last week, I had an appointment with Dr Elaine Benson who couldn't be less helpful if she tried. Asked for some blood tests as I have various symptoms that relates to a condition which runs in my family. She was very rude and accused me of wasting time and money. I left feeling very frustrated and saddened that the NHS can get away with talking to their patients in this way!! Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought the medical profession was supposed to be a caring one!

Due to their policy changes they have removed me and my family from their patient list and failed to even notify us, only when I need to order my child an emergency inhaler I find out that he's not registered there anymore and they will not allow him to see a doctor in an emergency situation. The doctors are lovely it's the reception staff that make life difficult. It's ashame their policies mean more to them then a child having a medical emergency. Also they pick and choose which patients they remove as I have several family members living in the same area as me who have not be removed from the surgery. They claim its the same rules for everyone but clearly that's not true.

Shame I cannot put 0 stars..
Terrible service!They do not answer phone for a few days ,then when finally answered saying they fully booked.The lady on the reception was really rude to me.I told her that I have to have my appointments every 2 weeks,but she rudly answered that I will have to postpone it for the week after cause they're fully booked?!
Bloody joke!
Another thing is my father supposed to have his appointment asap, cause he had a letter from a GP,to contact them urgently,but it looks like the receptionists know better,that he is ok to wait another 3 weeks,as this is just a routine appointment he needs..really
Sort yourself out,cause that is disgusting!!

Ask for Dr Mishra - spoke to Elaine twice during lockdown and found her relatively unhelpful and not interested, wouldn't listen to me so I requested a different doctor and got put through to Dr Mishra who couldn't have been more helpful, attentive and actually listened to what I was saying. Reception staff are always professional and polite, and I've never struggled to get an appointment. Any nurses that I've had to see are also equally excellent.

It is an improvement in comparison to TelDoc which was not contactable at all. The reception responds instantly, however, I had 3 incidents of disrespectful and careless attitude towards a full-time working parent who is dependent on the job in Birmingham. I’m a Salesforce administrator working for third largest software company in the UK.
1. treatment of skin condition of my son when our childminder couldn’t get the prescription from GP after the visit, I authorised handling by phone but the childminder was still unable to take it from the nurse
2. GP unable to prescribe antibiotics when complications of the flu arose and total absence from workplace became over 4 weeks. This GP only checks patients after 8 weeks of continuous cough (pre-covid) and do not issue sick notes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had to go private for a sick note (Virgin Care medical centre in Birmingham) which struck my budget
3. a measles vaccination appointment of my child scheduled in Hollinswood as clearly stated on the letter and submitted to my manager all of a sudden was moved to Priorslee. I do not have a car and can’t rely on public transport due to an over 75 being in the same household due to obvious covid risk. My stepfather (75!) had to help us and drive us to the Priorslee branch urgently.

Disappointed and concerned on how covid vaccinations are going to be handled as pre-65s should not expect an appointment before November/December according to the website.

Saw Dr Rohit Sharma earlier in the week for my Mother's health concern. Very thorough, professional and listens to presenting complaint. Outstanding bedside manner. Very happy with the service. The receptionists have always been helpful and efficient - Adie. We have also had pleasant professional consultations with Elaine who is very nice and professional. A very good G.P surgery. Would recommend. Always get an appointment in a timely manner. Never have to wait long.

Had nothing but problems for years with a certain Dr.Overriding other Drs decisions. Refusing to follow care plans from paediatrics. Refusing help. The list is endles.
There has been so many great Drs over the years but non last very long? Coincidence?
So glad to finally leave

Useless doctors the receptionists haven't a clue what they are doing, emailed one day for prescription, 2days later phoned, it hadn't been done, phoned later on in day told it was a t proirsle surgery, rather adamantly. Got to proirslee, not there it's at, hollinswood, this is not the first time this had happened, I have also made appointment to see a doctor, asked are you sure I'm seeing a doctor, got there , to be told my appointment was with the nurse, so glad I am changing doctors.
