Great site with lots of ways to recycle everything from cardboard, electronics and carpets to cloths and batteries. Staff are amazing, very friendly and have helped me to move some larger, heavier items. They are always on the look out to upcycle items and stop people from putting items in the wrong bins. Easy to access and everything is accessible on one level, no need to climb stairs to dispose of stuff.

We use the tip at least a few times a month both in my car and the transit. Steve barber and Dave smith in particular are the most helpful, cheerful men.. always have a smile on their faces and jump to help on every visit. Genuinely really lovely blokes, what a credit to the centre. Thanks guys for everything.. and helping me when I’m having a flap over spiders!!!

Use this recycling centre on a regular basis, and I can say every single time I’ve been there, the staff are incredible. So friendly. So helpful. And just really cheerful. It’s actually a pleasure to go and do the tip run because you know you’re going to interact with some nice people.

I can just say that the staff here are absolutely brilliant. I was clearing out my mums house and it was an emotional time. From my 1st visit to my last. I was treated with immense compassion and support. To the men in the entrance office and father/son team up by the top ramp. THANKYOU. Your kindness will never be forgotten... the lady in the blue pick-up truck

Staff are always ready to help and very pleasant which is a massive help for me as I am a oap and on my own, also no steps to climb like Halesfield I find these very difficult and talking to friends I am not the only one that thinks the same.
I will drive past Halesfield to go to Horton Wood every time.

Clearing out my m in law's house, 4 hours from our home, we visited Hortonwood 5 or 6 times. Every time we were met by polite, helpful and kind people. I have been to some awful tips in my time but these guys were a great team. It's also a great set up!
