This could be a great CHARITY shop, but I feel as with most shops they are all for what they can get. Everything in this shop has been thrown away to local recycling centres and waste sites, so items should be priced accordingly. You do occasionally see things worth buying that are priced realistically, but over the last couple of years the staff really have started to try and rinse people. There was an ottoman in there a while back with a £250.00 sticker on it, absolutely diabolical. Some of the smaller items on the shelves are worth the prices, but not all. There was a clock marked at £8, but the same clock brand new from the actual retailer was £5.99. I’ve had a few good buys, one item was a blue vase, I really liked it and kept picking it up, but it was £20 so I hummed and hawed for a bit. One or two of the staff are fantastic, but there is one woman who works there, mucky blonde hair, roughly in her 40’s, maybe a size 14-16 who is like a hawk, abrupt, blunt, rather rude with bad energy, A bit of a miserable so and so who watches everybody like a hawk which is why I said she’s like one, it is pathetic. Definitely in todays world. Everything in this shop should be ‘sold’ via donations, the way a real charity is run.

Found 2 camping chairs at the Humber re use shop, they were from b and m and had a tag that said they were £4.99 brand new from b and m.
The chairs were not in great condition and well worn. When I asked how much the chairs where I was told £5 each!!!!
How can they be more expensive than what they cost brand new When I told the lady this she just said she didn’t make the prices and wasn’t really bothered.
I am all for up cycling and using charity shops but what’s the point when I can buy cheaper brand new.

I've used this shop on many occasions. Sometimes you can go in, items sensibly priced, other times you can go and feel ripped off.
I have had staff members watch me like I'm about to raid the place.
Last time I went for an art project needed full bag of golf clubs and some other bits.
Collected rubbish clubs. (Clubs with marks, small damage etc) Didn't want to use good clubs for an art project.
From memory £5 a club. With the full set and the other bits, over £100 for items that people give away on Facebook or throw away at the tip.
Left empty handed. Happy to part with money, but not being ripped off.
Worst is, spoke to staff and explained, response was poor and this cost the charity a donation.
I think a little common sense or more of a structure could go a long way to encourage more sales.

Yes I know its a charity but there prices are an absolute rip off... most the stuff is what was going in a skip in the tip on site and there charging London prices.
It was run correctly before Dove house took over.
For what they charge ide rather pay extra few quid and buy new.
A trailer with collapsed wheel bearings £150 can buy same one brand new for £250.
Won't waste my time any more.

Items Overpriced for what they were. There were 2 drumkits my husband had seen advertised and was very interested in. When we got there (70 mile round trip) he found that the kits weren't as advertised on their site and had lots of bits missing. One kit had only 5 instead of the 8 drums shown in their photos. One staff member stood over us watching us all the time and made us feel very uncomfortable and was also very abrupt when asked questions and telling us which way to exit. Very disappointing.

I have used, and bought stuff, from this place but it isn't a very big place. If you get a few people in you have to be careful as you walk around. The displays are close together and the isles are small and not everyone walks around in the same direction.

If someone is pondering over an item then getting by them can be awkward, especially if they large people. Plenty of products on offer being not long after Christmas when I visited. I am not sure how you compare prices, value for money yes, but you are buying a second hand, sorry, pre used items.

Electrics are PAT tested as far as I know but all items are sold as seen, some do have a very limited guarantee. But as is often said one man's rubbish is another man's treasure. Worth looking for your piece of treasure.

Really friendly and helpful staff. I used to dread going to the tip but it's a lot easier now due to the staff.
