Called on a Thursday afternoon to check they could process an old copper domestic water tank. Once confirmed, arrived on site early Friday morning. Met at the car park, and advised to reverse car into the public waste processing bay. Chap loaded my info from my driving licence, another weighed my tank, given a weight slip, took to reception and got a cheque for £72. All staff really friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Having never been to a scrap yard I was a bit apprehensive on how the experience would go. Drove into the yard and a lad waved me over, I explained that I had never been before, he asked if I had my documents needed to register, I handed them over and he passed them to another bloke, who took them away to get me registered. I was asked to reverse into the bay to unload and weigh my copper. The 2 lads in there were very chatty, helpful and informative. The bloke returned with my documents and asked me to park outside and then to call into the office for payment. Straight into my bank account.
Overall it was a great experience and so much easier and stress free than I had envisaged.

As a first-time visitor I found this place to be absolutely terrifying! Vehicles moving around from all directions, the deafening din of heavy metal being tossed into metal skips, no clear indication of where to go or what to do and it was tipping down, just to add to the drama.

A friendly operative soon came to my rescue, told me where to wait and took my ID to set up an account. For the benefit of any other newbies, pull into the main entrance and park up on the right, outside the office door, obeying the keep left sign and not into the staff car park as I did!

Once unloaded and weighed, you get a ticket, leave the site and park-up on the road outside then return to the office where a very nice lovely lady will exchange your ticket fot a Visa credit (not Mastercard) or cheque.

Hopefully, my next visit will be stress free!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Tip from staff today. Use a magnet and sort magnetic/non magnetic items. It helps staff. There is a minimum payment so ask before you take your items. You can leave the amount to accrue credit if you will have more to bring. You have a year to accrue enough to take payment.

I haven't been to a scrap yard in my life... I'm 56.. went without a clue.. met random workers making my way into the yard.. and the the weighing in station.. .. everyone was so friendly and helpful along the way.. cheque was presented and off I went ..happy
