It was a quiet Sunday. We hadn't booked the car in. You'd think we'd just committed the most heinous crime on the planet. How dare we cause such levels of inconvenience. We were the only car at the site.

I was repeatedly asked why I hadn't booked. I knew the drill - name, rank, number, hold out for 48 hours, then beg for your life. We also got a bizarre rambling lesson in cctv, the Environment Agency, Serco and the Tooth Fairy.

Eventually, the magic cone was removed and we were allowed to view the majesty of the recycling depot. Worth the wait.

Pathetic booking system since Covid, which by the way ended years ago. You can only book two days in advance, despite the place being empty most of the time. No wonder people fly tip all over Lambeth.

Probably the worst service given by a service worker. Spoke down to me, made me feel very unsafe and the man didn’t listen to anything I had to say. I can guarantee that you will be disrespected by a Lambeth council worker here

Amazing place. Take your junk and put it in the bin. The bins are huge too so you can get loads in. I go there all the time in my car. They don't accept all rubbish but there are big signs on each bin to avoid any confusion, plus you can ask the staff for help, they are really nice and friendly. Highly recommended.

Rude staff- one guy in particular is so rude and intimidating that I don't want to go there. Literally getting in my personal space, firing questions at my with so much as a hello or can I help you. I walk from my house with garden waste to be 'greeted'- more barked at- with where have you come from?, what's that? where's your car?! When I answered, he didn't say anything, not so much as an ok thank you and looked at me agitatedly.
Literally made me feel upset.
This is the third time this has happened at this place in two years.

You can recycle the items listed in the photo. Have to book online for an appointment to take the car. Staff are firm but fair. Well organised

We visited on the weekend and had a great experience. The appointment booking process was simple and we were able to drive straight in at our timeslot. There was plenty of space to social distance while sorting our stuff. Everything is clearly labelled so it is easy enough to find where to put your items, but on top of that the staff on site were friendly, proactive and helpful which made it all a really smooth and dare I say enjoyable visit. Who knew recycling could be a fun activity! We will definitely be back.

It's a recycling centre so what do you expect? The reason I have given 5 stars is from experiencing how helpful the staff are. I've seen them coming to assist elderly visitors and my own father has said how helpful they have been. Recently I had some white goods to throw away and they didn't hesitate to give assistance when it was clear I wasn't able to carry them safely by myself. If any of you gents from the centre are reading this, I would like to thank you for being a great bunch of guys!
