Used to be a reliable place to go, helpful staff, but now it’s absolutely diabolical. It’s staffed primarily by long standing egotistical men who will help no one, stand chatting constantly, and think the world owes them everything. They have cameras everywhere in case anyone mutters a word to them or dares question their lack of customer service or work ethic. They will even close the gates right in front of you when it’s clear you are going to that container, deliberately just so it can be squashed down, then have a little giggle between themselves. It’s a shame, I don’t think it comes from the top, it’s just one of those place whereby most of the staff have been there a long time and they run the place how they like.

A very good place to recycle. The staff are excellent, but once a month for us to take our camper is far too little if we are doing a lot of DIY. What would be more sensible is if you were given a number of vouchers per year to be used according to your own timetable.

Refused entry at 4:48pm Sunday. I only had a few items for one type of bin. The man on duty knew he
was closing early. Had checked with the same man earlier in the day whathe closing timewas. Very badly managed. Staff surly and unhelpful.He suggested I complain as he couldn't care less.

Only for people with vehicles – county residents who come on foot are sent away "because we don't have a footpath" (nevermind that I had just walked in safely already). The message I'm getting is that next time I have anything to dispose of that can't go in the household bin I'd better fly-tip it at their gate after closing time. Completely cuckoo.

Must be going at the wrong times , every time I go staff always talking ,not very helpful ,there used to be a lady there when asked anything could not be more helpful but the ones now can't be bothered they just point to where things go. Just seen a gentleman & lady struggling with a fridge & they just carried on talking.,

Very well organized and especially in the Covid situation. You drive in, tell the officers what kind of waste you've got and they point you to a suitable bay. Just unload your stuff and chuck it in the appropriate tip. In my experience if you've got a mixture of things, like scrap metal and non-recyclables for instance, staff will often help you out, taking some things to the relevant container if you're not parked in front of it. Don't make the mistake of trying to leave through the same road you came: it's a one-way traffic system and you go out at the other side from where you came in.
