I had a great experience today as a fairly new class 1 driver. Very helpful staff in the weigh bridge office but I was most impressed with the banksman working the scrap metal crane. Andy's such a nice bloke and knows his job very very well. A blind man could reverse a lorry into his crane with his precise instructions. Every sight should be

Helped us out massively! The nearby Brighton recycling centre were so unhelpful - but on a Saturday morning, Light Brothers were happy to help and took care of our van load of rubbish. Highly recommend.

Bad company and very dodgy prices.
I called up to ask the price of scrap cable before visiting. They said it was £1000 per tonne.
When I turned up there was bits of metal all over the road I had to move to avoid getting a puncture.
They unloaded my car with me, all the cable together, and tipped it into the skip.
When I went to collect my money they said the price was £750 per tonne because the cable was mixed types.
Other scrap dealers do not do this and they did not make a point of this on the phone.
They also lied to me about the percentage of copper in the cable which I researched afterwards. (Light bros made out the cable had only 20% copper which is false)
Feel like I was taken advantage of as it was too late to reject the price by the time they told me it was 25% lower than stated 2 days prior.
Will not use again.

One of the vehicles they use with there signwriting on tried to cut me up, then tailgate me in a large lorry, they drove so close to the back of my car I couldn't see his lights or front grill. Then he proceeded to flash his lights at me and continuously hold down his horn. Very unprofessional company.

When you’ve got your local council refusing almost every item you want to dump, look no other than these guys, some could be out off by the magnitude of this private waste management company, but rest assured they are very helpful and you can dump almost anything...
The Weighbridge lady was very helpful and will definitely return If I need to dispose of residential and commercial waste

We receive updates on everything.. we received one yesterday about the virus and I am so.pleaaed as always lights are there to help us with the very tough ahead.. with out them small business would not be able to carry on working .
