based on positive reviews, I chose london waste management as it seemed like a reputable business that can get the job, in a timely and professional manner.
I needed the items removed during the 7am-12pm slot, as to allow the house to be deep cleaned by a professional cleaner and return the keys that evening. In order to ensure this happened
I paid £320.40 inclusive of VAT and selected the relevant slot as well as paid additional charges to have the items dismantled. I also spoke with the team online first to enusre the team had tools in order to dismantle items due to moving home and this being the penultimate item on the to do list to vacate the property.
I only received an email to say my order has been booked with no further emails or updates as to estimated time to arrival or who my collectors would be.
Unfortunatey my only unprompted contact was on the day at 10am being told that the crew due in had fallen suddenly fallen sick during a job but another crew could attend between 12-5pm , I explained the urgent nature of the job due to last day of tenancy and additional costs this will incur if items were not removed as well as in the current changes in work schedule, to my suprise i was then told i can get a full refund or arrange for a crew to attend the following day, which was quite tone deaf to the necessity of the works. I had to once again repeat the necessity of the works to which i was told i would be contacted at 11am to be updated as to arrival times.
No call arrived at this time , this began a series of run arounds which was to last all day, after i contacted the office at 11:30am i was told that my collection was due at 4-5 pm which was an amazing relief to here and i was able to rearrange the deep clean and arrange for keys to be returned that evening at no initial extra cost.
I was then contacted by the team doing the collection at 1:30pm that they would be with me at 4/4:30pm as they had just finished a job and was heading straight over to me again fantastic news, the type of communication and commitment one would expect from the company.
Sadly however this was short lived as again I was required to contact the crew at 5pm but received no reply despite numerous attempts, so once again I was required to call the office who told me that the crew were on another 2 jobs before they would reach and the operative had no idea when they would reach me and that they would call, this lack of communication between your teams as well as lack of transparency is truly alarming.
Shortly after, i received a call from the team saying they were stuck in traffic and they would be with me 5:45/6:15pm due to this information i was unable to return my keys and will now incur additional charges for this as well as losing a deposit for a cleaner.
In these hard times and cost of living crisis which we are all suffering from this is truly unacceptable. None the less i waited for the crew to arrive , once again i had to call the team at 6:30pm who told me they were at the skip and would be heading to me once they were done again more lies and deceit given what was originally stated.
The crew later arrived at 7pm, to have a slot arranged for 7am-12pm cancelled mid way, then be given the run all day is poor service and communication from london waste management and due to this i have had to pay more money due to the incompetence of the team, lack of communication and care.
When the team finally arrived the team had no tools and asked if i had some or could get some! the lack of professionalism from this team was astounding as they then decided to start breaking furniture in the house , if this is what london waste management consider dismantling which is an extra charge this is truly alarming as nails and wood was flying all over the property and caused damage to the flooring and doors please see photos below.
With the treatment received , further costs occured and lack of courtesy, professionalism, health and safety displayed , i am deeply concerned with the works being carried out around london
