  • May someone kindly confirm: I can bring my old sofa driving my normal car with seats folded (Opel Zafira) and get rid of a bulky piece of furniture for free showing my council tax bill. And I can come any day of the week 7:30 to 4pm

On my visit to the recycling centre this morning the staff were very helpful and offered several times to move items for me. Even better, four different members of the public offered to help me shift stuff. I’m of an age when I gratefully accept such offers! I came away feeling quite cheered up.

Just been there for first time. Asked a couple of guys where to put the glass and plastic I had and they told me. Was struggling to get stuff out of my trolley when two different ones came over and offered to help. Each took my stuff and put them in the containers for me. So kind and helpful. Thanks to those guys, I was in and out of there in 30s and able to catch my bus back to town too. Credit to Bexley, gentlemen! Thank you! 😊

And then you sucked the fun out of recycling. Been going here for over 20 years but can see why people think fly tipping is easier. Need driving licence and massive amount of patience for security guard to take your information before allowed in.
Go little and often but felt very unwelcome. Seen lots of comments about how many times we are allowed to go but does anyone know the rules

Just been and am very confused as to why you have a donation part but just chuck it in the landfill container. The guys were launching the donations into a dumper destroying it all.( few nice mirrors and pictures where there but when they hit the digger it just shattered) what is the point of this donations
