Hired 3 bikes, including 1 e-bike. Great service and great fun cycling round Cumbrae! Very good value for money. A perfect place for cycling. Good selection of bikes to suit everyone.

Highly recommend!
Been using them for years whenever we go. This time was the turn of my youngest son who is autistic. The guys in the shop were so patient with him helping him choose a bike he felt comfortable on. Service was amazing from start to finish. We managed to go round the whole island and my son was over the moon to get a medal and certificate it honestly finished our day perfectly. Thank you so much!!!

A last minute trip to Millport led us to this wonderful shop. We hired a quad (4 wheel pedal buggy) and had a brilliant time. The staff were superb and we found their prices very reasonable.

This wee family business is great, I'm sure other cycle shops on island are just as good though my family having been using Mapes for a while. It's not just the knowledge and expertise of the shop. It's the welcoming family factor, the owner, his wife, his son, they were ever so welcoming. I'm only down the road but what a pleasure, my family loved it and they are fairly priced. Thank you for the day! And it was a pleasure seeing you guys around the retro red car!

Brilliant service. We turned up without a booking on one of the hottest and busiest days of the year, peak holiday time. All the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Within a few minutes we were ready to go with our bike. On our return they were quick to get us checked out and super friendly and interacting with the kids to keep them occupied, even though they were really busy with other customers. Excellent service.

Hired the fat tyre electric bikes yesterday to cycle around the Island from Mapes.Guy was friendly and informative and talked us through safety and use of bikes.Bikes easy to use, and the ride around Millport was spectacular with views to die for.Weather was kind so it makes a difference. Bikes suitable for all ages.Go and give it a go!

Absolutely top guys at mapes of millport cycle hire, I had a normal bike my wife had an electric bike, they showed her how the bike worked, the price was really good as well, anybody who's visiting great cumbrae check these guys out.

Mapes is the place to go!!!
We hired bikes as part for our annual Boys Brigade summer Camp.
Staff are very approachable, friendly and very able to accomodate any requests that we had.
Would highly reccomend to anyone visiting the island.
Thank you and we will see you all again next year.
