This site is very well organised and well placed out of the Margate main town and next to the Margate cemetery. Large area properly allocated with the access to bins separated by waste categories. If you go in your vehicle you park up to right next to the bins in the middle. That's perfect placement. There's no specific limit on how often or how much you can take to the dump as long as you follow the guideline on the thanet council website and don't dump any harmful materials that cannot be recycled.

If only the booking system let the centre know you had booked! I had my confirmation ready to show but they weren't interested. This is the second time this has happened and I don't need to be told off for not having a booking ....when I have.

That aside , when it works I think the booking system is a great idea and the tip is run very well . Glad we have this facility.

Maybe the staff can ask if you have booked and to see your confirmation email before accusing you of not having a slot .

Every time I go there I seem to get a puncture, they could make an effort to sweep up screws and nails but that doesn't seem to happen. I also resent the COVID inspired booking system for half hour time slots. You can tell I'm just a grumpy old man! Of course if I was younger I would really enjoy the inconvenience.

What is the point of asking when booking the slot:” Do you need assistance this visit?”, if nobody cares?
All workers were very busy chatting while an 8-month pregnant woman was out-loading on her own.

We used this facility several times over 2 days. Every worker we encountered there was helpful, smiley and knowledgeable. Even in the pouring rain they managed to keep smiling and offer advice and help to us when needed. Thanks chaps...you are stars !
