We travelled for 5 hours and was not disappointed. Derek, although busy, stopped to answer a question about finding my Dad's Wolesley 680. We viewed the cars on auction near Pickering and loved the shop. I've lost my husband to the bangers and cash show , Derek said "well at least you know where he is."

Thank you all the Mathewson's staff that made my mate's day welcoming us on our motorcycle tour visiting the area for the day after travelling so far. Absolutely made up with the invite with open arms to view the last day viewing of auction lots and take it all in being fans of the shows.
Such friendly people. Shame Derek was busy filming behind the scenes, but you all made up for that.

Been intrigued by this place for a long time after watching it on tv.
Unfortunately the day we dropped by there was only the tourist shop to look in but still interesting and they had things to buy to suit all pockets

Fantastic day out. The village( Thornton le Dale, not Pickering) is beautiful, and Mathewsons is a very interesting place to visit where you can purchase all sorts of memorabilia

Great place to visit especially if you are a fan of their TV show like my boyfriend!
I thought it's quite nice that they let you have a look at the cars they have (when possible).
The shop at the front has quite a variety of stuff ti purchase and we did get some things.

The village itself is very beautiful, loved the ice cream shop that was a bit down the road, amazing flavour! There is also a handmade chocolate shop with great little filled chocolates to make a perfect gift.

An amazing place to go to. Plenty if memorabilia to by from pens, pencils, hats, tshirts and much more. Auction is something to see, but you're only allowed in to the auction if you are thinking of buying, otherwise you can watch it online.

You've seen it on the telly, so rude not to visit when in the area, shame the museum is closed, but a small gift shop selling motorabilia, won't take much more than 10 mins to wander around.

The site has become a tourist shop. The early viewers can not see the past operation easily. The staff did well to answer a few questions I had. The museum is closed indefinitely, which is a shame as this could bring back some of the history..

The village is interesting and quaint.
