Can sometimes get busy with cars queuing, but on my rare visits (like yesterday) I’ve found that staff are helpful, directing us to the right bins.

Had the misfortune of visiting this place twice this week. Both times encountering lazy, unhelpful, uninterested staff.

They seemed to spend most of their time leaning on the orange barriers, rambling on about what jobs they've applied for as they hate working there. Can imagine they'd be a real asset to any potential employers...

And the worst part of my visit? An elderly gentleman asking for help to lift a bag of garden waste. They both loudly sighed and then slowly dragged themselves over, all whilst doing as little as they could to even acknowledge the gentleman.

Awful. I'll be driving further on to Bergh Apton tip from now on.

Ok my wife turned up a bit early but the gates were open . She needed to drop a cardboard box and a small amount of packaging. She was told they were closed and he slammed the boot shut and told her she couldn’t put her small amount of cardboard in the recycling bin. Unnecessarily unhelpful and aggressive, He also accused her of trying to run him over which was pure imagination. Why can’t people try to be more pragmatic and cooperative? No wonder there’s often a queue down the road.

I would give a 5* review for the staff at the recycling centre. They are always happy to help.
However, their job seems to be very challenging due to the amount of material on the site. The bins for batteries, small electrical appliances, etc, were overflowing.
In conversation with another member of the public, it appears that many people who previously used the Ketteringham site are now going to Morningthorpe instead of the new site on the A47 as it is closer. The downside is that the Morningthorpe site is now very busy. We arrived just after 9am and it was quiet. By the time we had finished 15 minutes, the queue stretched to the main road.

this refuge tip is the best around very friendly workers here very helpful . hard working , but unfortanly to the wigs , the workers here seem to get sacked all the time , for stupid reasons , many have come and gone from here ,
i rate this refuge tip very good on everything
except the compost has risen so high here unreal how exspensive it has gone up in price ,
my thoughts you want more people to buy lower your costs down to £3 to 3.50 a bag again you will most proberly get more sales

Easy to get there, open in lockdown, we have been twice now, really helpful mature staff. Three cars allowed in at a time, never a long wait or having to book an appointment to go to the tip which takes less stress off when you are loading the car up at home. We had a mixture of items and materials and everything was taken and helpfully put in the right place. You don't have to wear a mask but the staff do and so did we and we wear gloves which is just for safety. Thank you very much chaps, keep up the good work, visited on Sunday 17th January 2021.
