Walked in to completely empty shop, except 2 members of staff at till/desk, 1 MOS wandering about... none of them made eye contact, so we edged closer to 1 of the desks... the guy on that till/computer, without looking up said 'I am going to be a while I am afraid'... the other 2 members of staff still didn't make eye contact either... nothing. So we walked back out again. What can you be doing on a computer that cannot wait 10 minutes? And if there is something that can't wait, you can explain that to the customer whilst asking a colleague to help. RUDE. Your loss, somewhere else with customer service's (Halfords just down the road were great) gain.

I went in asking for exactly what I needed, spark leads...the older gent looked me up and down, blanked me and said 'what? Oh you mean plug leads!' ....'arent they spark leads?'....obviously I'm an idiot and don't know that! They connect to what?! Oh yeah! SPARK plugs! Thoroughly mysoginist and insulting experience. He was just trying to put me in my place, cos why would a woman in her 30s carrying a baby know what a spark plug was, never mind the lead to connect it! Wish I'd walked out and gone to Reading. Still seething an hour later, as you can probably tell!

Re previous post, I have always found them to be very helpful and courteous, I have worked on both cars and bikes for 50 year's plus and understand that they do need to clarify exactly what the customer requires as they can get frustrated if items that are presented to them are not what they wanted, it's like skinny latte, people have thier own interpretation of what it is.
