Mountfield Household Waste Recycling Site

Have visited on many occasions but will never forget one occasion of how extremely helpful and obliging Jim and his team were , sometimes these little kindnesses go by but they really do make such a difference so thanks Jim!

The site has always been so well organised and Jim has always been so helpful and kind especially to us oldies.

Absolutely brilliant! First experience at a tip will definitely go back. The guys there are really helpful, friendly & kind, Tony in particular. Most of my unwanted items went to the reuse shop on site which I love. Also clean for a tip which I was surprised at 5 stars from me, thanks guys!

October 2024, Jim has left after nearly 17yrs as Manager of Mountfield site. I for one am so grateful for alĺ your kindness, and am very proud so many people have appreciated you and your team.

Helpful friendly staff, and a tidy and efficient site.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly, the site is well maintained and easy to get in and out of, with a well signposted entrance and an uncongested road leading to it from Battle or Johns Cross.

Brilliant here, dont need to book an appointment, takes most things, not tyres though I discovered. Staff are friendly which is a rarity at these places and the staff seem to want to help rather than all stand around on their phone like in the Hastings one. I will continue to use this one.
