Great staff, but terribly outdated approach to recycling with the majority of things going in one large bin, which felt very wrong. ?
Unlike surrounding councils there was no way to take our high roofed rental van in to the dump, though no obvious reason for the policy, which made helping the people I'd hired the van to help far harder than it needed to be.
When I asked why the staff were unable to answer and told me they were constantly moaned at because of the 2m max height 'rule' and they sympathised with my annoyance about it.
I ended up feeling sorry for them as it seemed to cause them a lot of unnecessarily stressful conversations with taxpayers trying to responsibly dump/recycle their waste.
Very glad that dumps near me are far easier to access.

The guys that work here are the best! I mistakenly took hubbys work laptop to the tip, along with a couple of old kiddie devices. Fortunately, hubby realised the next day so I drove back to the tip immediately. Spoke to a couple of staff there who were so helpful. Despite it being Saturday, two of them rang around until they found my laptop, because it had already been removed from the site. They then arranged for it to be couriered back to the tip for me to collect the next day which was a Sunday. Went completely above and beyond! Totally restored my faith. Well done guys.

Large step free recycling centre.
Don't believe the opening hours that Google maps says as it follows seasonal opening closing at 4pm in the winter and 8pm in the summer.

Saturday,the 2nd of November,@4pm is closed even on website says ,its open till 6. When they want,they close it

Always helpful staff and great service. I have used this centre since moving to Newark 5 years ago. The facilities are well kept, and there are always staff on hand to assist users. They go out of their way to help anyone who doesn't know the system, or those who might struggle to unload their waste. They make the whole recycling process stress free.
