Newcastle city council waste department are u-s been onto them about my both bins not being emptied every week. Every time you ring them up its ring back the next day then all they tell you is someone will call to empty them in the next 1/2 working days 7 days later still waiting for my blue bin to be emptied and waiting for my green bin to be emptied because they haven't emptied that one this week.
its week in and week out this happens
Been on bin assist since October after having one of my legs amputated and i live on my own so i can't drag it up to the top of the street i live in a cul-de-sac and when you see them emptying the bins and you shout for them to come for it they just look at you and keep on going 😑

We have been waiting since 3rd January 2023, for a replacement bin lid for our green bin. Can't believe how long it takes and why we can't put the new lid ourselves, apparently it has to be put on by "an expert" due date is 19th April 4 months after reporting the issue. Neither wonder the council taxes have risen sharply and there's no way you can contact them 😑

Highly disappointing service: my bin was the only uncollected bin on 20th September and no notice was issued as to why. Since then, I have connected the council via phone and the online form. They promise to respond and collect within 3 working days. Today is working day 4 (assuming Saturday is not one of the working days) and it still hasn't been emptied. I have had no correspondance from anyone from this department! My bin is sat, full, on the roadside and I have nowhere to deposit waste. Poor service!

Unhelpful staff, poor organisation and nonsensical policies. By deterring people from using recycling centre is likely to exacerbate fly tipping problems. Do they really need people to remove sunglasses so they can verify someone’s driving license or passport ID before they can enter?

Bin collection today, but the crew 'lost' a bag, left in the middle of the road to be run over by vehicles, it can happen, right? However, when reported, I was advised "Up to 10 days" to remove the offending article! Is that reasonable? In 10 days the original bin lorry will be back anyway, so not a lot of reason to report such issues.

Ordered refuse bin in May before moving into Newcastle Council area. As we enter September still waiting. Customer service hasn't a clue when new bin will be delivered or appear to know what's going on.

asked for smaller bin, took 2 weeks, then they wouldn't take the bigger bin away saying someone would take it later that day. nobody came. I had to complain in writing and by phone before they would even agree to come back for the old bin. Terrible jobsworths.
