It appears nothing has changed and this garage is still conning people ! I used to take my car there until I realised they were doing work that didn’t need doing just to charge extra money. When sitting in their waiting room I could then see it was being done to other people to - please please avoid - you have now been warned !

absolutely abysmal, a prime example of a failing business! would give 0 stars if i could!
shocking customer service with some of the rudest people i’ve ever come across, family run but give the impression they don’t care about their business or their customers and hardly know a thing or two about cars.
none of their staff have adequate training to be in their job role. could do with learning about real mechanics, how to talk to customers, have good management and how to bloody smile! don’t trust this garage, they do more harm than good, making the car worse off or scamming you with a ridiculous price. should be closed down

Took our car in for a MOT. Which it pasted last year with no advisories at a different garage. This year took it here and it failed. £1200 later we get it back after a week with the MOT done. It then gets a really bad oil leak so we took it in to be checked, to be told it's a £1300 fix. So we said no we will pick it back up. After getting it home we got a mobile mechanic to come and check. It turns out that everything they did has caused the oil from the MOT work which he also said is not up to a good standard and there is numerous bits and bobs of ruff work been carried out. He said he can fix the oil leak for £255 not the £1300 they said and they cause the leak in the first place. We have contacted the ombudsman, they are looking into to this now. I would highly recommend you use a different garage. These lot are ruff and can't be trusted.

Fantastic! I work all over the place and get my rota at stupidly short notice but they were able to work around it and find a time to look at the car that suited me. Got it fixed quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use this garage again!

AVOID!!! Con set up as genuine business. Multiple vehicles with major work done, either ruining the vehicle or finding out year(s) after the fact the job has not even been done!!!!
Notorious in the area, know of multiple people that have used them with major MAJOR issues.

Good crew who are helpful and courteous. Used them over the last few years for my car and bike stuff as I was employed nearby. Still go there even though it's no longer local, but at least I know what I'm getting.

I arrived at my work in Newent with a flat tyre .... these guys came out and fixed it within the hour. They were straightforward, old fashioned, decent to deal with and didn't rip me off. I can't over state what a difference they made to an otherwise difficult day! Thank you Newent Auto Centre x.

After 12 years in the US, I took my car to Newent Auto Centre for it's MOT. They called me to say I would be giving up a month of MOT if I had it done now. I also asked them to look at a knocking sound coming from underneath the car, fully expecting it to be related to the suspension and quite costly. Called them and they explained it was just some plastic that had come loose and was overlapping so they fixed it back on. They said no charge!! No charge! It still took them time to diagnose, fix it and they drove it on the road to check. I expected to pay for their time. Very impressed with them, their honesty and the way they treat customers. Happy they are my local garage!
