Excellent visit! We thought it might only be one or two rooms but were very happy to discover 12 rooms filled with local artefacts and stories of the Nidderdale area. Each room is sectioned/themed well, enjoyed looking at all the old photographs of Pateley Bridge and the film about Scar House Reservoir. Definitely worth the £5 entrance fee as it's volunteer run and well worth it to preserve the history of this area.

This museum is a hidden gem! If you get a chance to visit, please don't miss. Much more than I expect. Very good layout and flow of the rooms that makes you feel like you have teleported back in time. Not only items but workshops and photos giving impression about life years ago. Very friendly staff. You will never guess that the entire place is run by volunteers.

Amazing little nugget. Only knew about this place from word of mouth but its definitely worth a look. £3 entry per adult and kids get in free. It's small but keeps you busy as there are tons of things to look at. Toilets are kept very clean and staff are amazing. Lovely to visit and the whole thing will take you around an hour to see.

Me and my three kids had a great experience visiting this museum. The staff were fabulous. Covid restrictions have made the process of going around the museum somewhat restricted, if you have someone really into reading details and looking at everything carefully etc In front of you you’ll have to wait till they are done to proceed around the rooms. However there is so much to see in each room that waiting isn’t really a problem. This place is a must visit if you love Nidderdale and appreciate the reservoirs, as the history is so rich.

It's an amazing museum packed with thousands of various everyday objects from Nidderdale area. The attention to detail is magnificent. And a good video too about the reservoirs. One of the best museums I've been into. The people there were lovely and very helpful. I asked where to go to view the reservoirs and they patiently explained it.

Absolutely fantastic. The displays seem to go on for evermore.
I particularly liked the items being linked to Nidderdale and it's history, rather than just a general museum.

The displays are well presented and the staff are really friendly, helpful and amusing.

Had a great time visiting and went above my expectations of it being just a small museum.

I encourage people to support this museum.
