We are council tax payers and pay for our green waste bin also, but on taking some waste of broken up plasterboard in our car to the incinerator, we found there was a charge to dispose of that. Not having our cards on us, cash was not accepted so we had to take the whole lot back home. No wonder Stoke on Trent are plagued with fly tippers. Also, can't believe it's closed two days during the week. What a situation. Would have scored nil points.

Like everything about this council useless, closes at 3.45pm on a friday says it opens at 8am Saturday on the website, guess what?Get there and its closed doesn't open until 9am😡

Fantastic looking building built 1989. Can be seen from A500 and A5006. Sat between 2 roundabouts on Campbell Road.
Burns waste and turns it into electricity for the National Grid.
Was due to be decommissioned in 2020 but has been given a new lease of life until 2025 or until the council build a bigger waste disposal facility.

On the website it says opening times 8am on a Sunday ,when we arrived it says 9am on the gate!!!

Called in my van with my daughters old bed and mattress, asked one of the men on the yard where to put it who said I needed to show my driving license and was full of bad attitude and rude,, it’s no wonder people fly tip when you actually gone to trouble to take it and are turned away.

Staff very helpfull and friendly they could not go out of there way to help Ian was excellent at his job charging me for some rubble
