Stayed in Patley Bridge in airbnb for 4 days in July. It's in North Yorkshire Dales and is one of the prettiest towns I have ever visited. There are of green open parks, fields abd the river Nidds flows right through town.

My wife and I love nature, nature walks and there are plenty of these around. Also plenty of beautiful places to see within a days drive.

Pately Bridge boasts of the oldest sweet shop in England (see pictures). The local butcher sells mouth watering pies and the bakery had very items for someone with a sweet tooth like me. Both are must visit places.
The only problem most High Street shops close early around 3.00- 3.30 pm

Local walking group had a trip here to Pately bridge for a walk and meal. It was a glorious day and plenty of places to explore. We headed out to Brimham rocks and walked back by the River Nidd. We had a lovely meal at the crown inn and enjoyed the sunshine in the park with an ice cream before heading back North to county Durham.

Lovely little town set in beautiful countryside. It has the oldest sweet shop in the world selling the old style sweets from my childhood, and on the opposite side of the road is the local butchers, home made pies are well worth the 73 mile journey down to this little town!
