The days of going to the tip and often queuing along with often coping with whatever the weather is offering especially in the winter are well and truly gone.
This is recycling centre has some real positives, its indoor well sign posted it is a pretty good experience as so far I have never had to queue and wait. There is just about the right members of staff who are very helpful and visible. Its a slick professional operation. This would be a 5 star review but it is let down by misleading opening times on all platforms. Closing times advertised is 18:00 but it should say 17:30 as the entrance is closed at 17:30. At least on 3 occasions so it’s obviously closed at 1730
People rely on accurate information, closing times should reflect the time you can not enter,

They are the exact reason why people fly tip! Allowed me to have a permit but won't let me on because the van is big! It fit in there with no trouble and we'll below the max height. They are just a waste of time

Arrived before the advertised closing time but the gate was shut and we were not allowed into the site. Makes a mockery of opening hours and we the tax payers wonder why there is so much fly tipping around!

Me to the guy who was standing doing literally nothing :-
"Excuse me sir, can you help me please?"
"No."
"I'm sorry - did you say No?"
"If you need help, you should have brought someone with you. It says so on the Internet."
Don't expect, or need help, even when they are literally doing nothing.

Great facility. They keep it clean. Direct you. Help if needed. If only everyone used it rather than dumping stuff in street.

They are the exact reason why people fly tip! Allowed me to have a permit but won't let me on because the van is big! It fit in there with no trouble and we'll below the max height. You try to do things properly and you get punished for it. Oh well, they will have to come and collect it from the road side. Costing them more 👍🏻

Visited this morning 26/06 and the centre was a mess. Piles of rubbish in every bay with only one young female staff member. To their credit, customers were placing waste as best they could in or adjacent to the correct bay. What’s going on?
I’m a regular visitor and always find using the centre an easy and almost pleasurable experience which is why the state of the place today was a surprise.
