Very popular boot car sale in London. This is my review based on my experience in Playground 2.

What’s the buyer crowd like?
Largely a young crowd ages 22-35. No kids or families. I could count the number of kids under 10 with one hand. So it’s not a “family day out” crowd.

What sells?
Clothes. The buyer crowd are looking for clothes. Trendy. Hip. Cool. 98% of the stalls were selling clothes.

I think Playground 1 has a different crowd and maybe more things sell there but I could not verify.

Other sellers said:

“playground 1 was a lot busier and some buyers don’t even come to playground 2”

“I made more money as a walk in on playground 1 than as a car pitch on playground 2”

“Some people have spent all their money by the time they get to playground 2”

Suggestion
Charge less for Playground 2 if not as busy as Playground 1

Pretty well organised and there's a good amount of space for sellers IF you get in early enough. School janitors need to ensure enough toilets are unlocked and working, as the queues get ridiculous.

Well organised Carboot. Takes place in a school playground, which is great in all weather's. The entrance fee varies depending on the time of entry. We arrived about an hour before the end. Most stalls were packing up. Now we know it's there would visit again, just earlier.

A bit of a disappointment for this car boot. Too expensive for the stuff on sale and not worth it standing in a huge queue for an hour to enter! More of a vintage market than a real car boot sale.

Peckham Car Boot My Debut £550.87 in sales best in my 63 years!

Some months back my former housemate told me about Peckham Car Boot. ‘It is the best and most affordable in London, Michael with your sort of wardrobe you would do really well.’
On 28th July our landlord declared that the house I had lived in since June 2010 would be put on the market.
Over the years I had accumulated enough ‘gender fluid wardrobe’ and much more to put on a sale that would literally fill a small warehouse! My ‘out’ of control addiction did have very serious consequences for my well being.
The landlord did me a huge favour and lit the blue touch paper for me to massively downsize.
So I hired a man with a van (£80) booked my pitch for £25 and took home after these expenses £550.87. One customer spent a mind blowing £240.
When I returned on 11th September I made £266 and shifted a load of stuff.
Never in all the years of doing car boot sales have I made anything approaching this.
So well organised with lovely staff and terrific customers.
Well if you wish to brighten up your wardrobe then do pop down 25th September & 8th October 2022.

Soooo bad. Don’t think it should really be called a carboot, was just a really expensive second hand clothes. Was only one stall selling stuff for under £10 everything else was £50-£500 and that’s not an exaggeration. This is just like an influencer/rich kid gathering. Not a carboot at all. And I think Peckham carboot should really talk to the sellers and tell them to bring the prices way way down because this is not depop.

They need to limit young resellers and make it a real car boot sale again. It’s practically just a cheaper brick lane, or barely considering I saw people charge £200 for a jacket. Regardless of if it’s worth that, it has no place in being at a car boot and they need to seriously be proactive in banning this activity. You know it’s bad when putting bank details on stalls has become normalised. Sort it out.

First time as a seller, and the process was really smooth. Queued and got set up on time. Didn't make much money but got rid of a lot of clutter, which was the point of the visit.
