Today 8sep25 I visit first time very helpful reception lady she ask other staff member his name is shakir on the badge. He fiill my new registration forms urgent and asked me morning 8am cal for Dr or precipitation any way very poilte and helpful for me Thanks Peel House Medical Practice staff .I have experience other gp for registration new patients very rude staff but this gp very Excellent services 👏. I asked new patients must visit this gp.I hope you comfortable feel there Thanks.

The surgery is absolutely shocking. Interfering overpowered receptionists who just seem to enjoy interfering with medicine and someone’s health.
They make appointments to see people that cannot help which prevents treatment. The qualified doctor issues a prescription and they interfere with that too and delay it not knowing what they are doing to that treatment. Then there is the app for appointments time and time again on my DAYS OFF WORK I’m up at stupid o’clock in the morning to try and get an appointment and nothing time and time again and receptionists wonder why people get annoyed with them because they have way to much power.

Everytime I've normally rang I get through to helpful people but today I spoke to someone called Karen this morning. Absolutely disgraceful. Needed my prescription for my inhaler this morning and she just tried to par me off like she couldn't be bothered. She then advised I need an asthma review since I hadn't been ordering my inhaler as often and then when she booked it and I asked for my prescription again she just tried to par me off once again saying the doctor might reject it and then I literally had to beg for her to put it through. She sounded miserable and like she did not care. I understand about 'new policy and procedures' for the prescriptions but the prescription line never answer and not even that but her tone of voice was awful like I was causing her inconvenience. She just couldn't be bothered. It's disgraceful that people's health is in the hands of people like Karen. There was no empathy, no compassion, no sense of caring. They should give her a different job to do, not answering calls to vulnerable people needing help with their health.

Peel House is an exceptional surgery, staffed by the most caring and compassionate people, from the girls on reception to the nurses, the clinicians and the doctors they cannot be faulted, obviously you’re going to get people writing them poor reviews because they didn’t get their own way but I can assure you in my humble opinion care cannot possibly get better than that which you receive here, I have gone out of my way to recommended this surgery to my family and friends.

We're do I start, my partner in 2023 was back and forth with the GP with a health complaint, no proper investigation and palmed off with remedies, it got to the point on her last GP appointment that she was told if this doesn't work you better go to the A&E.
My partner now has no faith in the medical professionalism at peel house and because of feeling let down is reluctant and disheartened for any future appointments.

Very bad experience, took my mum in as she was very very poorly having really bad excruciating headaches, was seen by a nurse and she did nothing didn’t give anything for her headaches her fever or her sore throat and cough said ‘drink water’ that’s it. Waste of time I could have told her that myself also tried over the counter pills too nothing worked for her than gave her a naproxen myself and it helped her, useless nurse. Think her name was Abbie.

I'd give a zero if it was possible. A Dr was supposed to call me Wednesday this week and didn't so I rang today and they said Dr would ring today at 4.15 and didn't. Instead he decided to put a note on my record saying "did not attend" didn't attend what you didn't phone. Absolutely shocking surgery I know times are hard now with getting appointments but come on.

I visited the Surgery this morning on behalf of my elderly Mum.

The lady at reception was incredibly patient and kind. She listened attentively to my concerns and offered a helpful solution. This is the second time she has been at the reception during my visits, and both times, her service has been exceptional.
