I’ve been here a few times now and although it’s further away for me, it’s a much better centre than our nearest one. We dropped off some bits this morning and spoke to 3 of the guys there. All were very helpful and two were particularly cheery and had a joke with us.
These guys are a credit to the council. Well done chaps

On my last visit I dropped a picture frame I started to pick bits up when a friendly passer by told me to mention it to on le of the members of staff who could help me. I went to the closest staff member and was met with an attitude of 'what do you expect me to so about it' I explained that I had noting to clean it up with (or I would have done it myself) he did then get a broom and sweep up the glass but I didn't appreciate being treated with such an attitude over an accident.

It's a very good site, it's clean, organized and there is plenty of room and parking.
The containers where you dump the rubbish are easily accessible.
Besides the normal stuff you can also take tyres an oil (motor/cooking). And if your waste is good enough to be re-used, it's taken to the shop where of course you can also buy from.
The staff are really helpful and the items are too heavy for a person on their own, they will help you carry it.
For chargeable items, you can pay by card.

The shop is very good, mostly kept tidy.
Pricing is a bit hit and miss, some items they act like it’s an auction house not a reuse shop.
there is someone called Jackie who doesn’t seem to have a clue about pricing!!
She seems to just pluck prices out of thin air.
There is also one member of staff whose personal hygiene is not the best, today I had to leave because it was really really bad.

Young chap : when told I was injured and struggled with recycling rude unhelpful and told me he could not take recycling marsh Barton would not help same rules .
Marsh Barton ( as I’ve alway found thus far) one guy approached me and asked what I needed & offered help on my arrival )
when I asked I was given help and when carrying another took for me ! Such a contrast from the lack of help and politeness from pinhoes young man. Who struck me as just wanting to be paid for being there.
Every one without exception spoke to at marsh Barton was wonderful

During the week witnessed a physically large member of staff called Dave intimidating, shouting and harassing a female user of the site so badly that other members of the public had to intervene. This burk actually started to throw rubbish back at the woman, totally unprofessional.
The other staff on site are quite helpful, there's a younger guy who couldn't be more helpful.
Beware of nasty Dave if you're a female, it appears he's a bully and likes to pick on women.

Today was a pleasure using this recycling centre. Been coming here for years. Staff are usually rude, miserable and short tempered. Today (23/6/24 ) they were really helpful. Good advise and pleasant when spoken to. Thank-you very much for your help!!

The new guy in the shop thinks he's on the apprentice, over charging people left and right.

Caught him charging a quid each for dinner plates you can get at Ikea for 75p lol
