Absolutely the worst base I have ever been stationed at. The infrastructure is crumbling and leadership is a joke. WE HAVE NOT HAD RUNNING WATER FOR THREE DAYS! What kind of living conditions are these and why is this acceptable? I am paying to live on base in these conditions and housing has told me they will NOT reimburse anyone that gets a hotel. So, I’m paying to live in a house where I haven’t been able to shower, wash clothes, flush toilet etc for three days, now even my heater won’t work due to the water issue and it’s going to be 30 degrees Fahrenheit tonight and if I try to sleep in a hotel I have to pay out of pocket?! How is this acceptable for my kids? Shame on leadership!

Quaint & quiet base, it does have a shopette and gym but no other amenities, however you can go into town for common needs. Wildlife presence is nice to see. Gate guards are efficient & polite

I went to elementary school here from '68-'71 so I'm aware of the shuttle Mr. Coffey talked about, as I took it many times including playing hookey one time and went from Feltwell to Lakenheath to the BX. Those were some fun times. Wondering if the roundabout is still there? Almost got run over by a car there when I went the wrong way on my bike. 😛

Quaint and homey. Love this base that perfectly compliments RAFL and RAFM and contains the vet clinic and MWD's. Only a 10-15 minute drive from RAF Lakenheath, it's a must see to, at the very least, know what the base holds and to know where to go should you need to go to the vet clinic or live there. Base access is required, so if you're not military, a dependent, or have a pass to be sponsored on, you're out of luck. This is also the location of the motorcycle training course for military/civ/dependents living overseas.
