Perhaps be aware that access to the distant field from the road for vehicle users is via either of a pair of electro-mechanically secured gates at the good-will of private businesses using the ex-airfield via a phone number and/or intercom.
Once the barn is found, it is a humbling place as per the pictures ...with no-one, ie, professionally or voluntarily present.
As for those brave souls who left during WWII, and especially those whose days were cut short or irrevocably otherwise spoiled by warfare:
