Not as good as it used to be.
I frequently use Bracknell over the Reading site. Have always found the staff to be friendlier and more helpful. More recently not so much,,, I booked a slot ( NB: no more slots left open later in the day you will always have to wait minimum 24hrs.) arrived but the staff couldn’t find the booking, on checking I’d booked for the next day by mistake.he became annoyed that he had to wait while I found my booking on my phone and became aggressive and told I’d have to come back the next day. Even though there was literally 4 vehicles on site!! Not busy in the slightest. Maybe the guy was having a bad day, but rudeness, aggressiveness and his level of satisfaction coming from his power trip just not necessary.
Conclusion- go to Reading

Bracknell refused a pass fronted fridge because it was "out of a pub". I contacted the office and was advised it was refused because it was a commercial item. When I asked the difference between a commercial fridge and a home fridge the lady said PAT Test certificate was the discriminator. When advised that my fridge neither had a PAT test and was not checked for a PAT she then said she would call me back. TO BE CONTINUED...

First time there using the booking system, all went smoothly, staff are friendly, helpful and told me the area where to put my rubbish.

Rude, arrogant person manning entry today. Despite being able to prove both booking and residence, he wasn't interested in checking these. Just kept stating 'No'. When he did finally check some minutes later, it was clear he was 100% wrong but no apology materialised.

Generally OK - it's a dump. Fine if you have a load of wood or something simple but mixed waste from clearing out a cupboard and it gets ridiculous about what you can and can't throw away and where it all goes. Suggestions: A sign at the cardboard section telling us no wet cardboard & where we can throw it. A box at the household waste area for things people didn't know can't go there. Some way of throwing away home business paperwork - telling ppl to apply for a commercial waste licence for a box of old paperwork is obviously ridiculous. Why is it free to throw away some DIY rubble if you declare it on the booking system but costs you if you don''t? You could easily have a declaration system onsite. Stop making it a Kafkaesque exercise

Use to be a decent place, however my recent trip was just dreadful, I was interrogated for having green waste in a commercial van, to which I understand, however when I offered to show photographic proof that the green waste was from and produced at my own property, the staff member was rude and threatened my van would be banned from visiting the site as it was apparently suspicious. If you have a van it’s practical that you use it to dispose of your own domestic waste as apposed to a car. It’s shocking that you get treated like this for legally disposing of waste yet there is fly tipping everywhere and they don’t clamp down on it.
