I wanted to fix my flatmates bike brakes and just needed a guide noodle and found this place on the internet. They asked four quid! I just raised my eyebrows but coughed up not wanting to seem petty, Im aware people with premises can't charge amazon prices. Wondering whether I was being unreasonable I popped into another shop around the corner to discover they charged £2, and now looking online even famous rip-off merchants Halfords ask for £3 and this includes the rubber cuff. I feel as though Ive featured in an episode of "I saw you coming". Not recommended.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this bike shop! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to help with any questions or concerns. I first purchased a bike from them and later traded it for an even better one at a very reasonable price. Both transactions were smooth and easy. Their service is top-notch! Every time I visit, I’m met with professionalism and a positive attitude. Highly recommend this shop for anyone looking for quality bikes and exceptional service.

The store opens at 11am on a Sunday, I arrived at 11:20am to sell my bike. The mechanic tells me the boss called Fred isn’t in and I have to wait until 12pm until Fred comes in. It’s pathetic, I can’t imagine a business opening at 11 and its’ manager Fred rolls in at 12 which is when he feels like it. I wasn’t willing to wait 40 minutes out in the cold nor in the bike shop until Fred comes in just to be given a quote.

So I asked the mechanic to call Fred for a quote, the mechanic didn’t even go near my bicycle, he glanced at it from a distance whilst he was on the phone to Fred and the quote was £15. I then asked for £20, not a single one of them inspected the bicycle closely, it was a Raleigh bike in good condition and they couldn’t offer me £20? The mechanic was adamant that it had to be £15 without even closely inspecting the good condition and without the manager being in the building. How pathetic.

Fred rips people off whilst he’s sitting at home instead of doing his job and managing the business at opening hours, it’s ridiculous. Business hours are 11am - 5pm on a Sunday, do you job, turn up, manage the store during business hours and don’t rip people off with a low price without even looking at the bike properly.

Happy buyer. I swapped my old small bike and got a really comfortable used city bike here last weekend. Hubby got his bike serviced. Great service. Highly recommended if you're considering getting something used instead of buying new and being kinder to our planet 🙂

⚠️ Company deals in stolen goods ⚠️
I left my office (which is just around the corner from this shop) and found that the seat had been stolen from the frame of my bike whilst I was at work. Needed a quick fix so decided to go to this place to buy a cheap replacement that would get me home.
I walked in to find my seat (amongst several others that had clearly been removed from other bikes in the area) sitting on the front counter. These guys are either actively involved in stealing bike components, or turn a blind eye to reselling goods that have clearly been stolen. Read the reviews posted by other people and perhaps this won't seem surprising.

Be very careful. The owner is quite aggressive and a thief. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS (this is the first thing they ask when there’s an issue to make sure there’s nothing you can do). They agreed to service my bike and knock money off in exchange for me bringing three, almost four other bikes in for parts. Told me the difference was £40, we negotiated £20 between us. I left the bike there way too long before I came to collect, totally my bad (I was homeless for a month). When I went back to get it he aggressively told me it was £120. The bike itself is worth less than £100 even after the service. I appreciate they kept it there so I was prepared to pay extra. I offered £60 and he basically told me to F off. Absolute charlatan. And by the way the entire conversation was conducted shouting from his side. No wonder this shop has such a bad rating. I thought they were doing a good service keeping old bikes on the road. Turns out they’re just rogues and thieves. What a shame. My girlfriend loved that bike coz she had it since she was a kid and now they’ve stolen it. I can’t afford to get it back from them. So that’s FIVE bikes they stole from me. Nice. And he wasn’t the only member of staff that was rude and intimidating. The lad I gave the bikes in to in the first place was really sound. Big ginger beard, dead friendly and helpful. The three other staff members I’ve dealt with since were quite unpleasant.

Nice guys, but get a cheap halfords bike instead.. much more reliable for the price.
The £160 bike I bought from there was terrible compared to the brand new £145 from halfords.
