This company is responsibly for the ill health of thousands of residents with their badly managed landfill site, Walley’s Quarry. You invade our homes with landfill gases. We can’t open our doors or windows when it’s bad. It wakes us from our sleep. It fills my children’s bedrooms with an eggy, chemical stench. It gives us headaches, sore eyes and sore throats. It affects our schools, our hospitals, our livelihoods. It’s forced us to evacuate our home on multiple occasions. Red Industries- A money grabbing blot on Newcastle-under-Lyme. Shame on you.

The smell is just indescribable, it has hounded residents for miles, I have driven past many many tips and waste management plants and never smelt anything from the road or a few meters away, the stench from their site in Silverdale is horrendous and has been recorded, as impacting residents for miles, I accidentally drove past the site once and was physically sick. The gas company has had so many call outs as people think there is a gas leak in their home, the gas engineers thought there was gas leaking but couldnt find it, eventually after many many months and years of investigation it was found to be coming from the Silverdale site about 1.5 miles away. I moved to Basford bank a further mile away and still suffered from the smell, I ended up moving out of the Newcastle/stoke on trent area all together and I am terrified that they are going to buy land near their new office which is in my local area and they will miss manage another site to the detriment of local residents health and quality of life, there are too many beauty spots in the local area, that they will ruin.

If I had the chance I would give under 5 stars, minus 10 stars. The staff is unprofessional, not educated, and not helpful at all, a disgrace for the company, no wonder they gave 1 start for their reviewws with this type of employees. Very short, I was not welcomed, I was rushed to get out, especially the long hair, brunette girl who came outside to point me out with her finger and say "get out" , that's right, when it comes to talk business thats how you are welcomed. What if I was someone for some other reasons? Pity, I would suggest for these type of people to go work for some cow farms to educate themself, even animals are far better than them.

This company run, very badly , the landfill site at silverdale which is too close to homes, businesses and schools. Their poor management and lack of respect for the local people is shocking. Basic human rights to breathe fresh air have been taken away. Thousands of people are suffering on a daily basis and still this site continues to operate with no apology or compensation. No humanity shown at all just all about £ sadly

I have little choice but to 'use this business' as I am part of the community 'hosting' the Walley's Quarry site (RED's term, not mine) - we are at the mercy of their degree of competence as much as any paying customer. The company appear to have complete disregard for environmental regulations and as a result are continuing to poison the surrounding population and environment. No honest communication with the local residents, who have voiced their suffering and concern for years now. The evidence of physical and psychological suffering caused by RED is escalating daily. Would recommend that potential customers do not get embroiled with these cowboys.

I Live near to the Landfill in newcastle and Red have been a dreadful neighbour , their site has been spewing out Hydrogen Sulfide on daily basis . Red have breached their permit at least 5 times and the H2S on 2 occassions has breached WHO guidelines . Only 1 star because I had too. The cowards won't even face the community they're poisoning .

This company's waste disposal site at Silverdale is a disgusting blight on the local area. The smell from it is constant and horrendous and has been the source of thousands of complaints to the Environment Agency and the Local Borough Council.

Stop the stink! May 2023 still absolutely reeks and its about time it was shut down! Still beyond comprehension how a landfil even gets allowed to be located where it is and not in some baron land which isn't occupied by thousands of people
