Redbridge Household Waste Recycling Centre

Dreadful service ! Please avoid, if at all possible. In the past I found the people at the Recycling Centre friendly and helpful, but yesterday my experience was rather negative. After disposing the mattress I was not able to wheel the folding-bed frame to the metal bin (which was only 25m away). No - I had to lift the heavy frame back into my car and drive the 25m to the metal bin. Otherwise my whole car would be put in the metal bin. I will not use this facility again anytime soon.

Spot on service, the man at the gate and his manager were very good, I was expecting a nightmare as it usually is but it was as nicer experiance as it can be dumping rubbish. The whole place seemed to be a bit more chilled. Thanks

Very helpful staff, going above and beyond to help us. They were all willing to help with lifting items and were very reasonable and considerate with charges, while also being kind, cheerful and sociable. Great service and lovely people!

Always had a wonderful experience at Redbridge …. The staff or always helpful and cheerful, joking around and sociable. Sometimes there’s a cue but that’s just how it goes! The staff are always willing to help with your stuff that’s a bit heavy and always ask if stuff works and could be reused. 5*

I am so impressed with the way this site deals with our rubbish. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They regularly rescue stuff from landfill redirecting it to charity shops etc. There is usually a fun collection of garden gnomes and ornaments which get shipped off to be refurbished. I'm sure there's much more that goes on behind the scenes too. If you feel you got poor service perhaps you should check your attitude.

I recently had an encounter with Nikki, a blonde lady working at the W&S residential site, Oxford and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From the outset, Nikki exhibited a troubling level of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Despite my smart appearance, she made baseless assumptions about my profession and intentions, suggesting I was a multi-landlord disposing of waste related to commercial activities. This accusation was not only unfounded but also delivered in an aggressive manner, leaving me feeling deeply offended and disrespected. What made matters worse was that Nikki didn't limit her comments to our private interaction. She made them loud enough for others to hear, causing me extreme upset and embarrassment. This public humiliation left me feeling shaken and deeply uncomfortable. Nikki's behaviour was nothing short of a nightmare. Her lack of tact and professionalism marred what should have been a simple transaction, turning it into a distressing encounter. It's disheartening to encounter such blatant disregard for customer service standards. In light of my experience, I cannot recommend Nikki's services at the W& S residential site. Her attitude and approach towards customers are unacceptable, and I sincerely hope that steps are taken to address this issue promptly. Should I encounter similar treatment in the future, I would be compelled to explore legal recourse. Despite this, I will continue to use the site, but I expect a higher standard of professionalism and courtesy from the staff.

Great service. They do a great job of recovering reusable waste and providing an excellent recycling facility.

Once again we have to pay to correctly dispose of waste. Six spare floor tiles and half a plasterboard merit a charge because its classed as diy. Crazy!!!
