Such a great lunch, gorgeous setting, huge portion in my chilli cheese jacket potato with lovely salad and slaw on the side for such an affordable price. Attentive service with a huge selection of cakes for afters. A great afternoon out as there was a fascinating museum and gift shop to visit also featuring some award winning wines!

I used to work on this railway line as a conductor. It's so nice to see it as a museum and a quaint tearoom. The volunteers are so nice and friendly. As I come from a family of railway men it was so good to see the nostalgia of particularly this line that at the moment runs from Bletchley to Bedford but soon opening back up to Oxford. The lady in the tearoom was so helpful to my wife's dietary requirements. Sssh don't tell everyone but I sat in the ladies waiting room for tea and scones ha ha. Really worth visiting although I would recommend booking in advance for the tearoom if your a party. Highly recommend visiting here

Lovely tea coffee and cake here today, friendly staff we had a look around the station shop and museum. Will visit again. It's possible to get the train here too from Bedford or Bletchley

I was given a gift voucher for afternoon tea. It was a great experience. Lovely food very friendly staff and great atmosphere plus the added bonus of the train museum. Would definitely go again.

There is a £1 single fare on the line from Bletchley to Bedford until the middle of August 2024. We took the train from Bow Brickhill arriving at mid-day. A word of warning - it's best to book as the Tea Room is quite small. As we had not booked we had to sit outside, to be fair as it was such a glorious day we would probably have done this even if we had not booked,. I had a bacon butty (crispy too) and my partner an egg mayonaise salad. Both were very good and tasty. Then it was lemon drizzle cake and salted chocolate sponge. Big portions and scrummy. The price was reasonable too. Staff were very friendly. Well worth a visit if you have a spare couple of hours and do book if you can, but they can do take-aways and accomodate you outside if you have not booked. Watch the opening hours too.
I almost forgot - there is a small museum too with artifacts from the line and its history and welcoming staff who have knowledge of the line. If you are interested in railways take a look!.
