(Dec 2023) What an awesome evening getting introduced to power tools (part one)… Charis and Sophie’s approach and teaching style makes for a relaxed learning environment and a fun atmosphere. Everything was explained clearly and we each had a go on each of the tools with individual instruction (for each person every time) and safety support! I wish I found this course years ago! I am so excited to do more!!

Update - March 2024 - I did the 8 week woodwork course and created a sofa / bench for my Wallbed project. Charis and Sophie did a great job supporting each of us to compl our individual projects. It was fun, informative, supportive and just a great experience! And oh, the tools, all the power tools and hand tools and biscuit joints and dowel jigs … just so much to enjoy! I loved every minute of it and I thank you for facilitating this course. ?

Hint hint…maybe a metal working course in the future too? ?

Amazing day of making things out of pallets with Charis and Sophie. Their passion, enthusiasm and knowledge is delivered in an inimitable style which made the day so funny and special. They really looked after us all and catered to the different levels of experience in the room. Personally started clueless and bit scared, very definitely a beginner - but ended up using all the tools with confidence. So amazing to take home a sturdy well built planter 'what I made'. Real sense of achievement and empowerment. Been banging on about it since Saturday to anyone who'll listen, highly recommend!

This was a great way to learn how to use electric power tools.
All the mystique was discarded down to earth practical advise. Learn to use the more scary tools with confidence.
Great atmosphere of caring and sharing, no pressure to get involved, but everything was laid open and it took the fear away from using power tools.

I wanted to learn to make small boxes with dovetail or finger joints. I had the opportunity to work with different type off tools and thoroughly enjoy working among other like-minded people. I found Charis very energetic and enthusiastic and very eager to teach. An very enjoyable experience.

What a fantastic day, pallet furniture workshop. Great bunch of people, learnt so much and made a super comfortable chair. Who knew I could turn a pallet into this in a day. Looked at the pallet & didn’t know where to start or how it would work but all came together pretty quickly with some help & vision. Highly recommend

So much fun. Feel like I could take on anything now! Charis is an incredibly encouraging teacher and it felt like there wasn't a tool she hadn't used or a challenge she wouldn't take on. Was inspiring to be around. I did the power tools 1 + 2 sessions and I'd love to do another workshop soon, but reckon I now know enough to work on a project myself and know how to do it, with confidence. Highly recommend.
