Why are council staff so rude? It really is unnecessary. Take some deeps breaths before answering the phone. It actual spoils peoples day when they have to hear rude people (vice-versa). In a position of information givers, be polite at all times. State that you need to do Data checks before you start asking peoples identity, and then act like we are suppose to know what you are doing. Come on now, the world has enough problems without such negative attitudes. DO BETTER council workers. If a customer is rude, simply hang up! We could do the same but getting through to the council can be a daunting task, so we are not about to put the phone down, so be nice and helpful!! Thank you.
NB this is not the Recycling centre workers, these are the ones who answer the phones.

Booked online managed to get same day slot .The friendly staff helped me get rid of my old wood flooring. All very swift process. Only gripe would be that the main entrance needs clearer signage or a bright neon board as you can't see from Shidas Lane exactly where tip entrance point is. But otherwise a very good service 👍. Sandwell Council have actually got something working efficiently !!

Have to pre-book time slot including registration. They saw my reg of car and ticked me off the list. In and out in literally 5-10 minutes. Staff helpful with rubbish from car as well.

I went twice yesterday and am going again today. Very straightforward. Book your slot. Go in. Say address or show ID or whatever. Find your bay or ask for sirection. Then just throw your trash and move on.

There's always people there who you can ask for direction if you're not sure where your things go.

Remember to use either work gloves or garden gloves when dealing with heavy or edged objects. Don't want to go to throw away trash and to come back with cuts or something due to an accident.

Had a lovely experience today where I was welcomed by a cheerful lady checking time slots and helped by Simon at the bins. He told me where my stuff needed to go and even assisted with some things! All in all very efficient and easy experience.
