A lovely local cafe with an ambitious menu and many cake/pastry options to choose from at reasonable prices. Sometimes require booking weekend evenings. There's usually plenty of tables to choose from either by the window or tucked away somewhere quiet. It's a great atmosphere and the staff look after their customers without having too strong of a presence. Would come back again and again.

Good value food, decent flavours, their borscht seems suitable for vegetarians (no meat found). Mushroom sauce for dumplings is actually oil & mushrooms but sour cream is also provided.

I recently dined here with a friend and found the experience to be quite underwhelming. From the moment we walked in, the staff member was unwelcoming and didn’t even fake a smile which set a negative tone for the evening as it looked like we disturbed him with our presence.
The rustic interior adds a charming touch however the toilets are old and poorly maintained, with a strange smell that was quite off-putting. If they could improve the restroom facilities, it would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
The food was fine, but nothing particularly special or memorable. Additionally, I was surprised to be charged for the bread, as I had seen in another review that it was provided with the soup. This unexpected charge was disappointing and added to my dissatisfaction with the overall experience. Me and my friend had higher expectations based on the reviews but unfortunately they were not met therefore we won’t return here nor do we recommend it.

The place looks nice, I've been here before, but I feel like the quality of the food has gone downhill. I had chicken and mushroom pie which had a huge amount of oil floating in my plate. It was nice to taste but it made me feel sick due to the large amount of oil. I tried the pistachio cake which didn't seem fresh and no taste of pistachio either. Few hours later, I still have a stomach ake due to the amount of fat in the pie. Not impressed at all.

Food used to be great but has seriously gone down over the last couple of years. The last few times I've come here, food (cakes and pastries) has been dry and stale. Food is not enclosed properly and have seen flies roaming around and landing on them so health and safety is questionable here. Sometimes the food isn't fresh or they don't heat it up properly. The service is hit and miss. Some staff members are nice and friendly and others are disgustingly cold, stuck up and rude. If you don't like people or hospitality, get a different job instead of spreading your miserable energy on to the customers. Such a disappointment and waste of money. Not cheap either. Toilets are absolutely nasty. Decor used to be warm, rustic and cosy and now it's some soulless generic cafe with loads of tables and chairs squashed together. Absolutely horrid cafe. Strongly suggest everyone avoids.

Not authentic Shakshuka, made in cold canned tomato sauce with over cooked porched eggs 🍳!!

It looks good in pictures but no taste
Orange juice was bitter and we couldn’t even take a sip. Very disappointing food.

Not good place to have shakshuka or orange juice

I came here after reading good reviews on google but these are not authentic reviews

I am extremely disappointed I was ordering lunches regularly for our company, last time we found 2 staples in the meal, taking into consideration that they don’t use them to close the container this means it obviously happened in the kitchen. This is something unacceptable and very alarming, we were lucky to discover them before swallowing.
