Excellent practise i always manage to get an appointment at short notice. If not, they are very accommodating and call back with an appointment. Reception staff work very hard and you can see are always putting patients first. I have had several appointments with DR Allen and she has been excellent! She always finds the time to discuss every detail and refers to the appropriate departments/hospital.

A really poor experience... My partner I were visiting family and when my partner had a problem. We were told by 111 to register local doctors as temp resident for some urgent treatment.

We phoned that practice and we're met with pure beligerance been told this process would take weeks. It doesn't take weeks to register as a normal patient so I know this is not true. Even when I queried this I was told weeks and told to go to A&E no wonder hospitals are overloaded when this is the attitude.

Luckily the Buxton treatment centre was very helpful but it took extra time when it could have been sorted easily here.

This visit was for a review on my medication as well as my bloot test results, Dr Keogh is as always easy to get along with, and full of great advice, and as always no matter who i see at set valley im always 100% happy with the care given to me.

On 22 Jan 2025. We had an appointment with Dr Keogh for my husband Gordon Lyon. We were treated very kindly and after various questions Dr Keogh made a diagnosis but made an urgent referral to verify his findings. We waited whilst Dr composed a letter, asked us were we happy with it, which we were, and he sent it electronically to one of the medical secretaries, Michelle.
By the time we arrived home the email had been received. All I needed to do was print it out before phoning the consultants medical secretary to obtain appointment and at this time could use all the medical terms from the letter which ensured we got an urgent appointment on 28th January.
An excellent service which Sett Valley has become known for and for which we are extremely grateful.
