I purchased a fairly rare mini from Sherwood without driving. Alex and Richard were superb providing info/pics to aid my purchase. The car hadn't been used much in previous years. Only 600 miles in 6 years. Upon receiving the car via a regularly used transporter. All appeared good. New Mot, taxed.
HOWEVER...the following day, it rained heavily. The inside was a swimming pool...several drives later (when it started) I noted a number of issues.. ahem...£2000 worth of garage visits/parts later and its 'almost' sorted.
A local reputable mini specialist said that the car has been 'put together' wrong sills, rubbers in both windscreens,needed new starter motor, battery windscreens, suspension, bulkhead deadening. £2000!!!
It could be argued that a car used so sparingly wouldn't shoe these issues I suppose...when I sell it, least it will be ready.

From the first phone call to the delivery of my classic car. Charles and his team have be quite simply amazing.
Unfortunately I damaged the car after my motorcycle fell on it. We also had a couple of other small warranty issues so Charles came down and picked the car up. The warranty work was fixed and as they knew the car I instructed them to carry out the body repairs.
I was kept well informed throughout the whole process including photos at all stages of the repair.
My pride and joy is home again and looking amazing.
My only complaint with them is they are not closer to me.

Dealt with Charles - really friendly and informative and sent me some extra photos of the Morris Traveller car we were considering purchasing. In the end we bought a different one elsewhere but I would thoroughly recommend Sherwood Restorations and I would have no hesitation in dealing with them again.

Sunbeam Tiger Reborn!!

I bought the 1967 Sunbeam Tiger Mk 1 in 1971 with 9000 miles on the clock.
I ran the car for 4 years putting on a further 9000 miles, after which it was parked in my parents garage and wasn’t used again for over 40 years due to married life!!
In 2017 I was in the position to have the Tiger restored.
After researching a number of Classic Car Restoration Companies in the Midlands I decided to go to Sherwood Classic Car Restorations Ltd, a family business est. in 1966 with a very passionate and experienced team in the restoration of classic cars!
They had already restored a Tiger in 2017 which was another reason to choose Them!

Work was started in May 2018 and was finished in Sep 2019 after a groundup restoration. The car was completely rebuilt, as near original as possible, with the exception of fitting a set of Minilite wheels, replacing some engine parts and fitting a bonnet with air scoop and vents!
The work was carried out to a very high standard and attention to detail was second to none!
After numerous emails, telephone calls and visits to discuss the project, which were always very open and honest, We collected the Tiger in Oct 2019, after some minor problems were sorted.

It was a dream come true! So a BIG THANKYOU to the ‘the team’ for what my wife and I would describe as a ‘work of art’!
I would recommend Sherwood Restorations to anyone wishing to have their classic car restored to concours condition!
We now look forward to many miles of motoring in the Tiger!
