Bought a power steering column from South West Vauxhall Spares Ltd about two weeks ago. After fitting it, the steering just kept spinning and didn’t work at all. Clearly, the part was faulty. Had to remove it and reinstall my old one, costing me £100 in labour for nothing.

It’s clear they don’t test the parts before selling them, which is completely unacceptable. Selling untested parts is a waste of customer’s time and money. Very disappointed with the poor quality and lack of care. Would not recommend them at all!

I needed new front seats for my Corsa D as the half leather trim was splitting. In less than an hour I had phoned South West Vauxhall to enquire about their listed seats, visited and inspected them, then bought them! The seats are in such perfect condition they don't look used at all. They just had a few specks of dust from being stored. I was so pleased as usually any used seats look tatty or have burn holes etc. Thank you very much for such a fast and professional service.

Ordered an engine. I'm absolutely chocker with work. Got round to fitting the engine just before 30 days warranty was up to which i find out is from date of purchase. So you have already lost 2 to 3/4 days warranty like I have.

Decided to put a timing chain on the engine for due diligence. Found out it's out of timing and possibly damaged. Went to these guys with the info. Told them it hadn't been fitted or started, it should be OK but need extra time on the warranty to find out.

Nope. No chance. You have 30 days warranty from date of purchase. So I have lost about 4 days where I physically don't have the item. They're confident it's fine.... but if they're that confident then surely having the warranty run from date of delivery in this case would show good business management. I thought I was being helpful, but I'm guessing they'd rather me of rushed the job, not changed the timing chain, turned the key and had the engine go bang. But if they're not extending the warranty by a few days for this, imagine if that happened. They'd find something else to get out of it!

I'll be actively avoiding buying any thing from these guys now. Which is a shame. Dealt with them twice before for some panels and all the items have arrived great.

Got a quote from these guys from a breakers website, not only were they quick in responding to my quote, they were the only place that actually got me the part in the same colour as my car. I ordered in the evening and it was packed and sent the next day. Being over a 2 hour drive away, I was worried it wouldn’t make the journey but the part arrived very well packaged and it’s in the condition as described!
Will definitely use again if I need any more parts!

Helpful on the phone. Drove there and they were helpful when we arrived. Answered all of our questions. Got the part I needed after being shown photos of the selection they had before choosing the one that best suited my needs. Was able to view the chosen part before we purchased. Decent price. Fitted them later and they're perfect.
