Well great views and built in the site of an old mine , that extracted radioactive minerals , for the fabrication of uranium glass and other things .
GET THERE EARLY !
If you want to park up there you need to arrive early. It very rapidly fills up , even out of the normal holiday season.
The walk down is very steep in places , and the walk up is a tough one .
There is a bus that will take you down and back up , and is reasonably priced at about a £1.
Last thing … the seagulls will snatch the food out of your hand before you blink !

Large car park at top of hill with great views of St Ives. Steep walk back at the end of the day but worth it. We parked early and had breakfast across the road at the brewery cafe (toasted teacakes and jam). As with most Cornwall Council car parks you can pay on the Just Park app.

Its oversee St.Ives. Has the same price as all council car parks in the city plenty of spaces to choose from. A short walk from 10 to 15 min to reach the city. At the beginning there is a downhill which becomes uphill when you go back keep that in mind

Great car park for St Ives! We caught the bus down and back up for £2 per person, each way. (Rather than the the walk). Got there for 10:30am mid week in June on a hot day and managed to get a space.

This car park offers a bus service into St Ives. Brilliant as driving is very difficult and should be banned really. St Ives is a treasure, should not be missed. Beach is stunning.
