Who knew going to the recycling centre could be so fun and pleasant?

I was met with the warmest welcome by one of the men working there.

Then managed to have a couple of lovely conversations with two older ladies there recycling, holding a bin lid open for each other and also helping carry bits of refuse.

It was all so jolly - strongly recommend anyone in the area

I had such a positive experience here this morning that I feel moved to write a review. I was feeling overwhelmed and tearful when I arrived with too much to do after a house move to Bristol. The man at the entrance was the soul of kindness. I didn't get his name but he's a diamon geezer and his warm-hearted cheery patter really picked me up. The other attendants were pro-active in guiding what goes where and in general everyone seemed to care about doing a good job. Thank you so much. My day has gone a lot better and brighter since then.

I have needed to visit twice recently, the gentleman at the entrance is friendly and welcoming-brilliant way of easing you into the centre. The attendants have always been more than happy to assist too. Altogether making an anticipated nerve wracking experience a lot less worrisome 👍🏼

An amazing place. Clean, with friendly staff. Here you can drop-off your stuff, and secure to help the environment as well. They've got my cars motor oil and I was really pleased with the agreed time and schedule trough the phone. All fast and smooth. Please bring your ID to prove you love in Bristol, and come by car. Cannot go inside on foot I am afraid.

I love St Philip’s recycling centre ! It’s so friendly and having a good clear out then going to the tip is always a very therapeutic experience 🙏🏻 The guy on the gate always has a good joke too. 😃

I had visited the centre and dropped off a chest of drawers after moving properties and realised the day after I had left a device in one of the draws. I spoke with Stewart from Bristol Waste who did an excellent job of keeping me updated in the search for the device, he then informed me that the Supervisor, Chris, spoke with his team and informed me that Carl had found the device from who the chest of drawers were sold too. A massive thanks to the team at Bristol Waste and St Phillips!
