Whenever my family and I go to Church Stretton we always go to the Antiques because of the wide range of items for sale. So we were browsing and I came across a pair of army colours cigarette cards framed for only £8 so I as were my family shocked by this and we took them down to the counter. We went to buy them and the man on the counter said that the pricing was wrong (bearing in mind it is a different persons room with their own things for sale not his) so he got on the phone to the lady who was selling these things and he was was adamant that she had got the price wrong even though she was the one who put that price on in the first place. He then kept on saying are you sure? Are you sure you want to sell them for that? After getting off the phone he came back in and said that she had told him the price was right I gave him a ten pound note and after that commotion we all wanted to get out of there so I took the £2 change and quickly got out. However after when we were about to go I checked the one pounds and I was shocked to see that they were 'round one pounds' in other words the old one pounds from the Isle of Man, these are no longer in legal tender there cannot be given as change, this is illegal to use anymore. So we went back to the shop and asked why they had given us non legal coins and he said that they have lots of them lying around behind the counter then gave us normal one pound coins and said that we can keep the round ones to see if they are worth anything. Ignorant staff, not a very nice place. Shall not be going back there.

A great antique store in a big old industrial building. Individual traders units are over four floors so be prepared. And there is no public lift, it's goods only.
A varied selection of dealer cabinets is situated at street level as well as larger items and furniture so don't let the lack of upper floor access stop you going in, the ground floor is as big/bigger than many antiques shops.

Third visit to the Centre and quite honestly it was a complete waste of time

The premises are damp, dingy and dirty and the stock on offer is pretty dismal, poor quality (although its difficult to judge in the half light!)

I dont know whats happened but over the last couple of years its gone right down the pan...

The few "decent quality" concessions that used to be in the centre have gone...as has the cafe...

It would be a five but won't let dogs in. This means we can only go in one at a time and that's a pain. Would have had a better look otherwise.
