Very helpful and friendly team. Had to do a few trips for emptying an old flat in my people mover and got help and clear direction for correctly disposing of rubbish for waste and recycling. Will be back for definitely. ? ?

Apparently you cannot dispose of a mixed bag of rubbish here. I had cleaned out my shed and separated all the main pieces of waste, to go in recycling containers and had one bag of basically the mouldy junk left over and the sweepings from the shed floor. The unhelpful worker at this site would not let me dispose of this bag of rubbish in the non-recyclable skip, but instead suggested I separate out a handful of screws she could see and put them in metal, same with a bit of mouldy cardboard etc. absolutely ridiculous rule. I came back from the waste site with my bag of waste rather than spend half an hour shifting through the shed floor sweepings. Will have to find another way of disposing of it now. On looking at the website it really does seem that the centre is not allowed to accept general refuse and it must be separated; when you've swept up a manky shed floor though this is impractical. And I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem. Recycling gone mad! Only one week in three for refuse kerbside collection and if you put out any side waste they leave the whole lot. I can see how fly tipping is becoming more prevalent.

This is only a one star review because there is no option to award zero. I have just returned from this recycling centre and was appalled by the lack of basic safety. Cars and pedestrians were everywhere and it was a miracle nobody was run over. The staff on duty made no attempt to help anyone regardless of age or fitness.. I commented to one staff member that it was dangerous there and he merely shrugged and said yes. This place is an accident waiting to happen!

Terrible site. Where can a single van owner get rid of non commercial waste! Abosolute rediculouse rules. Only have one veichel which is a van with racking and can now not get rid of any rubish from home or allotment! So angry with councils rubbish rules!

I am currently waiting for a knee replacement, I used my white van to tip my old carpet, a very polite young man who's name began with a S i think it was something like Silly? He could see i was struggling to get up the steps up to the container and insisted on helping me the young man couldn't be more polite and helpful he is a credit to the staff managing the tip Thank you young man your help was very much appreciated

I regularly use the East Devon Recycling Centre just outside Honiton off the road to Axminster. In my view the site is exceptionally well manned in a polite and professional manner..
I think it appropriate to give credit to thy staff, particularly a man named 'Tony'. His help and support in disposing of my domestic waste is much appreciated. 5-Stars from me.

It was such a friendly welcome we had from Tony at Sutton Barton recycling centre today. Hands down best recycling centre! Tony is an asset to the team and was so approachable and helpful. His thoughtfulness to the local wildlife is amazing and inspiring.
