My son and I visited the scrap store this week. We were both made to feel so welcome and both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves crafting and sifting through all the scrap. We paid £36 for a years membership and I can’t wait to come back with my daughter so she can get all excited over the beads and buttons!
My son (4) also got involved with the ‘creative cow’ pre school group and loved experimenting with the water table and painting.

This is an excellent service....a place to take all those misc items you think are too good to bin, not appreciated by charity shops but a fellow creative will be thrilled to find. Everything from buttons to end of balls of wall , fabric scraps, end of project leftovers, unfinished projects that lurk in the corner, inducing guilt, drop them all off to be spore matted by someone else. Equally if you're looking for some random beads, some old crafting magazines, sewing patterns, scrapbook papers.....join up for a small fee and visit throughout the year. Truly a fabulous service, every town should have one to re purpose one man's trash as another's treasure.
