Perfect country pub with a great atmosphere and character. Had a lovely stay for Valentines Day. Our room was spotlessly clean and cosy. It was a set menu with it being valentines day but the main menu looked to have a good choice and they have a specials board. My husband and I had mussels for starters. My husband had steak for main, I had sea bass. The food was cooked perfectly, nicely presented and filling. The staff were lovely, all friendly and would do anything for you. Looking forward to having another stay in the future.

I recently visited, and unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I discovered plastic in my food, which raised serious concerns about the hygiene and food safety standards of the establishment. While the staff offered an apology, I was shocked that I was still charged the full price for the contaminated dish.

This level of service and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Food safety should be a top priority for any restaurant, and this experience has completely shaken my trust in their practices. I cannot recommend dining here and would urge others to be cautious.

Been to the Crown Inn for food and we were not disappointed, it was delicious ☺️ service was excellent too, not long wait time. The young lady waitress took a very good care of us and made sure we were okay with everything, she was really nice ♥️ it was very pleasant and tasty dinner/lunch we had! Thank you 😊

Average lunch. Waitress was friendly but forgot some drinks and it took a long time to get served at the bar. Drinks were on the expensive side, over £6 for a pint of cask and £8 for a small wine. Food was okay, steak pie was a little stale and raw on the bottom, kids meal was great. High chairs and kids toys readily available. Deserts were good. Overall, arguably overpriced for the quality.

Spent an entire afternoon in the Crown a couple of weeks ago. Me and the Mrs were spending the weekend in the shepherds huts nearby. This is the best pub to visit in Pateley bridge if you’re a tourist and it’s definitely the most welcoming pub in the area. We did wonder into another pub that we had to sign into and the entire time we were sat with our drink, we felt everyone’s eyes on us. We quickly finished our drinks and went back to the Crown. The Landlady is great and her son works in the kitchen. That guy can cook a pheasant 👌🏼. Thanks guys for a great afternoon.

Only came for lunch. Called last Sunday with family.
Had the Carvery and the chef was brilliant allowing me to have a taste of. All the meats. We were on a table closed to the pass. Which was a mistake. Too crowded.Food in general good. But too small a plate, so several items fell on the floor. Staff first class, perhaps a better table and less meat, wud have been best

Call in today for lunch and a few drinks and I must say the baguettes with salad were delicious the bill came to £40 for 2 meals, 2 pints and 2 gin and tonic great service and value and very nice staff 🥳

We had an excellent stay, thank you very much. Such lovely, friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable, ideal for our small family. Very comfortable room. Dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Best steak pie I have ever had! Nidderdale is a very beautiful location. Would definitely stay again.
