I took my bike in for some running repairs on Tuesday afternoon. I was greeted & made to feel very welcome by the member of staff at the desk & we had a delightful chat & laugh about the in's & out's of my 'ability' or lack there of to fix said bike. He explained to me what they will do to fix things, gave me a rough estimation of the cost/time, took my details & sent me on my way. I received a call today (Thursday morning) to say that it was ready to collect. I repeated the same process I had done two days previous just in reverse this time I guess. The chap at the desk this time was equally as pleasant & he explained to me what had been done, I paid up, collected my bike & off I went. I would highly recommend using their services & I think what they do for so many people here is absolutely fantastic. It is inspiring & quite lovely to see those in the warehouse plodding along with various bike projects all with great smiles on their faces.

Thank you so much

Dave

This place is great. I haven't bought from them but I do donate my old spares etc. Thier ethos is brilliant and from what I saw the bikes they were selling were good second hand u it's. Better than buying cheap stuff from other stores. Buy a decent made Reconditioned second hand bike.

I have a sibling with special needs who volunteers here, it's genuinely a fantastic scheme and helps to give people with special needs a lease of life rather than just sitting at home all day doing nothing. I want to give a big shoutout to all the staff members who help to make this a safe and welcoming environment. They deserve all the praise that comes their way.

Can’t recommend enough!
Happy with my purchase, aftercare and overall experience. Everyone working there is always helpful and friendly , to me it’s like Santa’s workshop !
Well done you all! Seeing some one star ratings is just beyond me. .
Donated old bikes that kids have outgrown and will definitely return when in need for next size up.
Thank you !

I would like to thank everyone at spokes for their friendly and professional service. They did my wheel balancing very well and adjusted the brakes slightly which I hadn’t even asked to be done. Which meant a lot.

My self and my husband were looking for 2 second hand bikes and had donated to Spokes some years ago, so went to visit them and found 2 perfect bikes. My husband bike was still waiting to be signed off after the had serviced it but they did this while we waited and was ready in now time. Both bikes cost us less than £300 and were nearly brand new. We were more than happy. This is a brilliant little company/charity who give opportunities and support to people with learning disabilities and help them in a working situation.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant set up.

After a recommendation I purchased a bike last year it looked well used but was assured it was road worthy & had been thoroughly checked/serviced & was a newer model than the one I initially wanted repaired.
After quick test ride I reported the gears did not change smoothly & was told to be more gentle!!
Considering only light usage after just 3 months the following happened.
1. A pedal fell off
2. The bolt securing the right side front mudguard disappeared on a ride leaving the bracket flapping loosely
3. The gears completely mashed rendering said bike useless.
If I had been in a position I would have returned for a full refund after countless times trying to call I gave up.
If you choose to buy a bike I would strongly advise you arrange for an after sale check.

Fabulous service for our kids bikes, and for adults also. Have bought 6 bikes from these guys in the last 4 years as the kids have grown up, and also they take bike donations, and re-purpose them. Also they fix bikes and quickly put new tyres on my kids bikes. A brilliant enterprise. I saw someone posted a negative review about these guys. Donate them your old bike(s)!! As they are clearly a community enterprise helping people with a range of problems, how someone could leave them a 1* review previously is beyond me. A very happy customer.
