What a great dinner night. My partner and I booked for the vegan night, and it was amazing! We arrived and got a seat shortly after.

The set menu was fantastic. The mushroom appetizer was my favourite dish of the night! The lasagna was unbelievable.

Although I'm not vegan, I'm lactose intolerant, and I was amazed with the cheese in the lasagna and the dessert. The curry dish was really good, but the rice was a little overcooked for my taste. However, the flavour was on point, and the overall experience was great! The crumble was really well balanced, crunchy, and lightly sweet. The custard?! Wow 👌 the waitress that served us was really kind and shared the ice cream used for the night. It's hard to find such creamy plant based ice cream! Thanks for that.

In the end, we had a great night. Service was friendly and efficient. The ambiance was lovely. We will come back for other dinner experiences!

The owners did a fabulous job in the restoration of the property, and the staff are very polite. Though we were not given a coffee menue so no idea on the drink selection or cost. Breakfast bacon roll was a very basic, white soft roll with two rashers, there was no choice of brown or wheat roll, so at £5.95, rather expensive for what it was. The full breakfast menu has a choice of 5 items for £9.95 but one is toast. I usually find full breakfast comes with toast. Cakes and other items in the shop look very good but only a few items had priced marked.

The Lass O'Gowrie is an absolute gem of a lunch spot that we’re thrilled to have discovered. Booking through Facebook Messenger was easy and efficient—a smart move given how popular the place clearly is. The food was excellent from start to finish. The toasties were perfectly crisp, generously filled, and bursting with flavour, while the soup was wonderfully hearty and thick, ideal for a cozy midday meal. However, the true highlight was the cake selection—an astonishing variety that defies belief. Every slice we tried was top-tier, beautifully made, and clearly crafted with care. This charming spot is a must-visit for anyone in the area.

A delightfully converted village hall run by people with a genuine feel for what they do. Good food, exquisite home baking and service with the kind of warmth you only get when those involved take great pride in what they do.. the living definition of an independent project of passion.. GO HERE.

Lovely Sunday lunch with the family and our dog who was also made very welcome. We chose toasties from the specials menu which were amazing. The flavour combinations were fabulous. Even the side salad was the best I have ever had. No room for cake but will definitely be back. Very efficient waiting staff that are all very friendly. Definitely worth a visit- I can’t wait to return.

Perfect place for a relaxing lunch or coffee and a cake.
It was hard to choose from the amazing selection of homemade cakes - a feast for the eyes as well as your tummy! I enjoyed the best cheesecake I've had in a long while, not too sweet. The fresh sandwiches were yummy too.
We'd come here after being let down elsewhere and so glad we did. Great menu (plenty veggie options and lots of nice soups to choose from). The service was outstanding too, and we'll be sure to visit again.
(It can understandably get quite busy on a Saturday, so you may want to book ahead if travelling a distance.) There's a handy wee car park round the back.

Absolutely fantastic service and food. Highly recommend and will be back. The nut one soup, chicken chorizo soup, spicy black pudding toasty and a ham sandwich, followed by coffee and cake. Under £40
