When I became pregnant with my second child a close friend suggested that my partner and I should contact Sophie and attend one of her Hypno birthing courses. We knew very little about it but what we had heard had been very positive.

We opted for a one on one course over 4-5 hours over 2 sessions. We didn't quite know what to expect...but walking away from the first session we were already pleased we had taken this path with Sophie. In our frenetically busy lives she had made us stop, breath and connect with each other about our feelings, the birth and the arrival of our baby girl.

We started to practise the breathing techniques she had taught us and the combination of the breathing and the mindfulness MP3's that Sophie sent for us to listen to became invaluable throughout the rest of the pregnancy. I had a straight forward birth with my first child, this with combined the work we had done with Sophie gave us the confidence to opt for a home birth.

Sophie checked in with us regularly to see how we were feeling and progressing.
Due to some last minute complications we had to abandon our plan for a home birth which came as quite an emotional readjustment but Sophie reminded us that hypnobirthing is a state of mind and a tool to carry you through however you end up birthing your baby.

I used the breathing techniques throughout my labour but my labour was much longer than I had anticipated. Sophie had offered to drop by the hospital and see me if I felt I wanted her to...and I did. I had done so well up until this point but I had already laboured through the night and was tired and loosing my focus.

Sophie's arrival literally saved the day for me. She refocused me on my breathing and visualisation and my positivity returned. Everything happened quite quickly from this point and I had the strength and confidence I needed to deliver my baby.
It was such a beautiful experience that I will never forget and there aren't words to thank Sophie enough for guiding me through my birthing journey.

I would highly recommend to any pregnant woman/couple to make the investment in themselves. It's truly invaluable.

My partner Tania and I took 6 Hypnobirthing sessions with Sophie in the lead up to the arrival of our first born.

All were delivered online due to Covid. Brilliant sessions with great online content to help read around the topics. Support during and post pregnancy, would highly recommend!

Really wouldn’t recommend dealing with Sophie.
Booked and paid for a block of 6 classes with her, attended 2 before lockdown struck. Discussed attending the rest in person after lockdown, which she agreed to, then never heard from her again. Contacted her 5 months later to ask for a refund, as classes obviously weren’t resuming and my son is now way too mobile to sit still during a mindfulness session. She advised that she had supposedly donated all the money to charity from the people that she had contacted and never heard back from. Not really fair as I was never consulted about this and am now unemployed, so am not in a position to donate chunks of my cash to charity- as lovely as that would be. Why not pick up the phone and call me if you are supposedly trying to contact me and getting no response? (Giving her the benefit of the doubt here, as our recent disagreement emails seem to flow pretty easily.)
Haven’t heard back from my last email requesting again that she refunds me.
Appreciate that the pandemic has caused issues for people but it’s unacceptable to give someone else’s money away and then totally ignore them when they question it!!!! Really unprofessional and thoughtless. I hope people think twice before using her services.
